It was my son's 9th Birthday and we decided to try out Glamping at Nasugbu, Batangas. We found this great deal on Airbnb and went ahead and booked it. It was during the off-season (July) so it was a price we couldn't pass on. Before the trip, we prepared all the essentials such as food, water, extra clothes, etc. The staff at Domescape will also send you a guide and what to pack after you make a reservation. They are very friendly and accommodating. Hands down to them!
On the day itself, we didn't anticipate the weather to give us a heavy downpour. We were praying hard that it would stop, and eventually, it did. After being stranded for a couple of hours on the way there (thanks to some mini flash floods), we finally made it, and lo and behold - the rain suddenly stopped! Guess our prayers worked.
The pool is naturally filtered through their special filtration system, and though it wasn't heated we all still managed to jump in and enjoy a swim until evening. The dome itself is airconditioned so you won't have any problems sleeping, and there is a toilet and bathroom inside too. There is also a kitchen, complete with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and all the kitchen essentials you'll need for cooking, so you won't have any problems whipping up a meal.
One thing to note though is that during the evening there tends to be a power outage, but only for a short while. The place is equipped with a generator for instances like that. So, it's also better to pack some flashlights and power banks just in case. The location also has little to no phone network, which will render you off the grid for some time, so if needed be sure to file for leave at work. 😉
It truly was a great experience, one which my children will cherish. They still can't stop talking about it until now. We definitely will be coming back again.
