This is a film I took during the 2011 Doma Vaquera competition in Jerez Spain. This is the first big event that this young 5-6year old Andalusian Cross mare had taken part in, hence the nerves i.e. flapping lip. She made a couple of errors but Manolo was pleased with her performance for such a newbie. He is an incredible trainer: kind, thoughtful, precise and fair. In case you notice the dark patches on her side it is because he had new stirrups and the black rubbed off.
They compete during this competition with background music, which really didn't fit well, so for this video I just changed it to some that I felt matched better, otherwise it is just as it was performed with no cuts or alterations.
