Yeah, it does feel like there's obvious corruption and the people with the power to actually do something about it are dragging their feet. I hope it's just because the FBI is taking their time to build a strong case to make sure she spends a very long time in prison.

I grew up in Dolton, and bought my first house there. I moved out in 1985. Dolton NEVER had these problems. It was a nice place to live until the early 80's.

There were some illegal things going on, like the sale of village land to a private club. They were not as bold or sloppy and arrogant as Henyard.

Legally most don't want to mention a name. They don't want to be sued. So far it looks like Holmes is the suspect. We shall see what LVPD does.

They need someone like Eric Mays (RIH) as a trustee.

This administration is out of control. A mayor is in charge of the administrators she places in positions but the police and firemen do not USUALLY work directly for the mayor. They are usually hired and/or fired by a Board vote and therefore must report, not to ANY one person but the entire Board and the mayor. Maybe towns are run differently in this part of the country but I do know there are STRICT parliamentary procedures that MUST be followed by all Administrators, the mayor, the Board and the citizens.

Why do they have to wait for the regular board meeting to override the mayor’s veto? If they are in that bad of shape I would think they would want a faster resolution and/or investigation. Maybe that is how village government works but this is, I think, an emergency and I think special board meetings should be done to get this resolved.

Holmes said he was trying to help. Why not help her to her own room ?

They should’ve had the meeting at a school where they can maintain more people, but the hall is not big enough for the people so they should’ve had it at a school auditorium, grandma or high school instead of there so all people could get in

This board must also share much of the blame. They should have went to court long ago and requested a court receiver to step in and look at the Financials long ago. The boards slow actions also damaged Dolton.

Wish they would have put this on the trustees KZread channel.

The FBI can investigate and probably are. The agency will not comment on an ongoing investigation and will not indict unless there is a crime in progress. This is why the gov't doesn't lose.
