Mojang knew that, if they have had their IRL stats, that they eventually would crank 90s, build the most advanced tnt cannons and eradicate the player from the world. They HAD to nerf them.

No wonder why years ago my dolphins kept disappearing, i thought they we're despawning or something so my dumbass attached it to a leash AND gave it a nametag 💀

Turns out we just need magma blocks to make the water bubble. Thats probably not it but imagine if it was that simple

You can actually use soul sand with water to make breathable water and air for dolphins, they are mostly used in dolphin’s grace, soul speed highways 👍

I think they tried to make the dolphins realistic because in real life, dolphins are mammals, which means they need oxygen. But they are also required to water, which means if they stay under water for too long the drown and if they are out of the water for too long they also die so yeah🤷‍♀️😀👍

They went beyond reality, they actually made depressing dolphins like in seaworld

That’s already how it works, mobs don’t lose their AI as long as they’re in entity processing chunks. The issue is that mobs stop wandering when the player is a certain distance.

@@TbobJee I’ve seen that and I’ve seen a waterhighway that someone made to get dolphins Grace they put a dolphin in a 1 block space with a water block and souls sand on the bottom. So it should work if you only use dolphins in the aquarium

Mammals don’t have gills and don’t even tell me “It’s just a game!” Because there’s a certain point where realism makes sense and dolphins breathing air makes sense in Minecraft. Sea turtles should also drown if they stay under water too long.

You can just create a ticking area using `/tickingarea` command to always keep the area where dolphins live keep ticking and stay active even when you are not there.

Reminds me of a story where a dolphin got seperated from his owner and he just refused to get air and died.

We had a whole trial in our discord server because our friend's dolphin disappeared and we all suspected our other friend. It was comedy gold, we even added a soundtrack while we hurtled increasingly absurd accusations at each other for the bit. Somehow i ended up being the judge. He was eventually found not guilty because someone looked it up and found out about this glitch 😂. We are all grown adults

Smart move: Give dolphin a water breathing potion.

That's actually how mobs work in general, there is a section of your render distance in which it doesn't unload mobs, but instead have them there but not render movements, this is done to prevent the player from lagging out too much
