I went here for my 30th bday this past March. This was the GREATEST thing I’ve ever experienced. The culture of Cozumel as a whole was just AMAZING!

Well we did see this, and it did effect their business. My family was strongly considering this but the photo price was a dealbreaker. Not spending that additional photo price x4 for each of us. Thanks for this info! And what a dumb business model. They’d sell a lot more photos if they were more affordably priced, and those photos would all end up on social media to advertise this place for free.

Are you able to bring your own snorkel equipment and snorkel in the ocean?

While I agree with your opinion about high priced photos, we have done dolphin excursions in several locations throughout the Caribbean. They all have the same policy and similar pricing. So, it's par for the course. Expect to spend $200 if you want your group's photos. That is true in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cayman, and Cozumel, in our experience. I believe Chankanaab had an option to buy individual photos for about $50.

another tip is that if you have a big group and some don't want to swim with dolphins you can pay an observer price and they still get the buffet and can snorkel. The observers can video and get pics from the top deck. My husband took video of me and my son swimming with dolphins. He stayed with my daughter and we got great pics and video.

Are you able to pay the observer price thru carnival? My family Definitely wants to do this but I have my baby so I just want to watch

@@meelindurr I did pay through carnival but I had to call the reservation desk to get the name of the observer excursion. I didn't want to pick the wrong one.
