I'm 65 and began watching Dolly on the Porter Waggoner Show waaay back when. Dolly is freaking national treasure and we are honored by her contributions to music and humanity. She makes the world a better place.

I met her when I was a child. The Porter Wagoner show did a county fair. After the show,my dad got us back to meet them. She took time to make a little girls day. What a warm and fuzzy memory.

Dolly must be protected at all costs. She is such a gift.

Dolly is the embodiment of true class!! After all the fame and fortune, she remains true to her upbringing and values. She’s an inspiration to people worldwide. Not as a music icon, but as one of the most wholesome people who has ever drawn breath.

I have met her twice. I worked in high-end restaurants and hotels in Nashville. A have met hundreds of "stars," music, movies, television and stage. Ms. Dolly is one of the sweetest, nicest, most genuine people one could ever hope to meet. Unlike so many others, she does not have a condescending cell in her body. I have stories but suffice to say, Ms. Parton is the real deal.

You can tell a lot about a star by how happy this makes them. When Katy Parry was on it seemed to me that the talent of the singers was kind of making her mad, like she was upset that people were doing it better. Just the impression I had. Dolly here is having a blast and telling the ones she thinks outdid her exactly what she thinks. Thats humility right there. Being able to *happily* tell someone you think they're better than you at something you are famous for and mean every word. (I think she's selling herself short a bit, but that's admirable humility too)

@@anastapatsak Yeah, Pink really has a down to earth feel to her doesn't she. A long time ago I heard a Pink song and didn't like it, than like 10 years later I heard another that was awesome. I mentioned something to that effect to someone I was with and they said, 'Oh that's her label's fault.' He told me that when she first started, Pink got zero say in her sound. Once her contract ended she went her own way and the music I liked was a direct result of her picking her own stuff. Don't know how true that is, but whatever the case I really like her newer stuff.

@@stephanginther9051 It's very accurate, Pink's first album was very much a mix of the pop punk and R&B that was everywhere at the time and felt quite hollow because it was written for her. You could have swapped out a dozen of the popular artists she was competing with at the time and you wouldn't really notice. Most of us expected her to be a one hit wonder until her real first album dropped and we got to hear her own song writing.

Ms Dolly is true Southern nobility. She is and always will be the classiest of class acts

If you play music at all, having a super-star like Dolly Parton tell you that she liked your version of her song is deeply moving. Such a kind, and gracious lady. Her words of encouragement will impact these musicians for the rest of their lives. Dolly is one-hundred percent class.

I love how she would sing back vocals and harmonize wherever possible, that innate need to participate to make it even nicer and better is everything.

I love that Ian Munsick was on here and now he’s killing it in country music too

I’m a singer, but I’m not as talented, but when I sing people cry to my love ballers & they scream & jump when I sing crazy fun songs,

I’m jealous to hear Dolly tell someone that they sang Jolene best out of all of the covers of that song. Congratulations! Also congrats to every music star that Dolly enjoyed their covers of her many hits! 🤩👍👏

She talks to people normally, like a neighbor. That’s what’s makes her amazing

9to5 never won the Oscar for best song. People are still singing it now, 40yrs on. Oscar must be blind then!

I love how she's like" thank you for picking my song" and the singers are like "no thank you"

Could you imagine doing a cover of someone’s song and see the person you are covering listen to you and then start softly singing the lyrics to their own song and bopping their head and smiling I would just die right there!

People don’t realize what a talent Dolly is. She isn’t just a look or songs she songs. She writes these songs that so many actually associate with other people.

@@BrookeMcLymond Everyone thinks the first version they heard of a song is the original rather than a cover. It happens a lot with Kate Bush, too. Whitney sang it beautifully and it was a perfect vehicle for her powerhouse voice and abilities. But her spectacular version doesn't make me cry like Dolly's does.

It's cool that you get Brit, Dutch, and Scandinavian singers singing her songs, in addition to Americans. She really is an international icon.

If we could weaponize this womans heart we would have world peace ( and harmony ).

OG3NE is a Dutch group of three sisters. They also competed in the euro song festival.

This woman is a National Treasure. And she’s real. Talented, smart, kind and real.

I love how she puts others before herself. She is my favorite singer

I couldn't watch this without pausing to cry every time the artist saw her reaction. What pure and wholesome goodness.

"Jolene" has got this power when you belt it out. Even when you have never had that situation come up in you life, you still feel the pain and it has to come out when you sing it.

A woman of class and grace she has always been.

@@linus98765 yes they did! Twice! One time in the kids version, Junior Eurovision Songcontest and in the adult Eurovision in 2017.

The Earth is not worthy of Dolly Parton. She is EVERYTHING that is good with the World!!

I am not even a big fan of her music, but I am a huge fan of her. I believe she is one of the finest people ever. She has done so much to give back to people who need it. I love you, Dolly.

Won't this be an endless loop when the artists see the reaction of their fans to the original artist's reactions and so on?

I truly love Dolly. She's a role model to all. Shes just so sweet.

When Dolly sings harmony with people the other person's voice gets lifted on angel's wings.
