Once upon a time, Avie saw me say this about the show and Heehaw, she made it different alright, then she found out about how sometimes Porter has Elvis sing I will always love you and this show never even happened.... nor did anything else in her career, Porter sold her contract and all of anything to do with Dolly to Colonel

From this same 'Family' episode of the show Dolly sings with sister Stella a cover of Melanie's Brand New Key (The Roller Skates song) but I can't ever find it anywhere. If anyone has it I would love to see it.

This is real Americana right here . Our stupid woke, ultra liberal society can try and erase this all that it wants but it will never go away as long as people remember and keeps sharing it like we are right now! 😊

Wow. Have you ever actually listened to this song's lyrics? Really LISTENED? This song is about as "woke" as a song can be. You ought to clean your ears. Perhaps you'll sincerely hear the words, and catch the meaning of the song. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.

Liberals (academic elitists in particular) can be infuriating snobs, sure, but they also do plenty to preserve cultural history like this, and music can be appreciated no matter what anyone's politics are. You're the one sabotaging the US patriotic spirit by turning THIS of all things into a battleground from shoehorning in your goddamned politics. If you're gonna look for excuses to be hateful and whiny you'll always find them. Childish ass
