ABSOLUTELY. SHE'S DOLLY PARTON. I stood less than.5 feet from.her in 1975 at the Miami Dade County Youth Fair..just before she made the BIG TIME. such a beauty.

My father in law was not able to speak. He was in hospital hospice. My daughter and I decided to play music for him. His leg started going up and down as if trying to keep pace with this song! It was precious! I will always love this song simply for this memory ❤️

Kristine Skjerve I grew up with my Aunt loving some Dolly Parton and didn’t quite get it but like some of her music this music has made me realize what a talent she is and made me appreciative her.

No electricity, no running water for her first ten years!! And still made it big!!! Talent yes but more detemination. God bless her.

Moving from NJ to VT, August 16, 1977, with my late husband and best friend, and the help and moral support of two good friends. Long drive, big change, new life. Heard on the radio that Elvis had died. And heard lots of “Here You Come Again”, which I loved instantly, and has always meant for me “the past is past and done; the future is ahead and who knows what it holds?” Still love the song, and Dolly, who truly is in a class by herself.

December 1977, driving back to college from being home on the weekend, driving with my roomate and her boyfriend, now husband as of 1979! Waiting for this song to cone on the radio! What a time in my life!

I was just a normal 13 year old boy in the midwest when this became a huge hit on the radio in 1977. This melancholy and beautiful song brought me to tears then and does so to this very day. God bless you Dolly Parton!

I'm a black girl grew up in the hood and there's not one black person I know who doesn't love this woman. Even my young son loves him some Dolly! I am telling you all that this woman is an angel in disguise! Everything about her is so transcendent!

Dolly is one of those artists you can play on repeat and never get sick of her!!!

Don't like country music but love Dolly Parton . She paid to have , I can't remember how many people's houses destroyed in the Gatlinburg forest fires and she has an organization that will mail your child a book every month .... Free !

This is such a perfectly written pop gem. The syncopated piano bass over the straight 4 right hand is perfect. But Dolly's voice (an insanely beautiful mixture of heartbreak, vulnerability and hope) is what makes this song so heartwrenching and completely pushes it over the top. This was originally released on a BJ Thomas record. Not even close. So glad the producer Gary Klein heard it and knew she had her remake it. She completely nailed it.

Even if you know nothing about music theory, you should be able to hear the key changes in the song. You feel the effect of building and releasing tension musically. That's why - the key changes. The emotional effect precedes understanding the theory. It's a brilliant song, the way Dolly sang through those changes, and explains why it sound so good, even beyond the production values of its day.

This song was released the month before I turned 21, and will forever remind me of a great winter weekend spent in Lake Tahoe with a couple of sweet ladies and my buddy. Growing up in the toughest city in my neighborhood just trying to make thy way prosperous and here you come again comes on the radio and how in heavens name is a soul sister like me digging on Dolly??? My friend's thought I'd literally gone INSANE!!! I have the greatest love and adoration on my heart for Ms Dolly ever since that day way back in 1977 I was apprx 14 years of age can you guess my age now????

I remember when I was 16-17 going to my mum’s caravan me my 2 sisters and my mum having it on the car going down memory’s

For those older folks (I’m 57) we had the privilege of growing up when the lyrics of songs were simple and understandable. I was in the UK (now US) and living just seemed easier with no mass shootings every month, no cell phones and no internet. Sure, we had problems, but nothing on the scale of what we have today. Songs like this stir memories of warm summers and maybe not locking your front door or your car.

Haha! Watch what you call old, youngster! (I'm 62). I remember vividly being dragged to the Missouri State Fair in the 70's with my dad who was a real country boy and hearing Jimmy Dean (the country singer, before he became the sausage king!), Porter Waggoner and sweet Dolly! She was definitely the bright spot of the whole show for me! Unfortunately, I don't remember her singing this song (and she hadn't written I Will Always Love You yet). But I'll never forget her singing Coat of Many Colors and Jolene! Amazing!

I’m 12, but this music sounds SO MUCH BETTER than some of the music we have now!!! I LOVE DOLLY! I also really like DollyWood!

@@jeffchew9677 My late mom was a big Dolly Parton fan too. I remember my family having this album on a cassette or 8 track tape (70s style music media!). We also often watched Dolly's variety show & enjoyed how every episode ended with her singing her lovely rendition of "I Will Always Love You" 🎶

Still a great song in 2023

This song really brings back so memeries when things where much simpler vs today . I was i the third grade back in 1977 ! I’m now 52 yrs old . How time flies .

they were the only decade where happy mediums wasn't considered "undecided" too many extreme leftie-fluffy/ridey-whidies today. you could be a folk/country's or whatever and if you were good you would be a superstar!

Good is good. I love metal, classic country, 70s funk and disco, punk, classical, new wave, British Invasion, some pop, etc.

No kidding! I'm 5 years old again and listening to this album that Mom or Dad put on! 💞

Every once in a while a song comes along with perfectly matched lyrics and melody, Perfectly arranged and produced with some soaring violins to finish it off. This is one of them. I would bet any intelligent life form in the universe would agree.
