Not if Stephanie Hsu could help it, and as i expected, she kicked her out for the 5th and final Oscar Nomination, so much for paving the way for Pinoys eh?!

Her roles in Filipino movie and tv are usually Doctor to tell the main character they have cancer, School principal who will suspend the rebellious teen, Judge to a court trial, Maid to who works for a rich family, Angry Landlord harassing tenants for the rent,Business woman who is potential investor to the main character's business, religious lady praying on church,Nice politician who will get assasinated. Most of her characters don't even have name and now she is a Golden globe nominee. Abigail is her first character to have a name after decades of being an extra.

Dolly! Not just a good actor, very articulate.

One of the best films I’ve seen in my lifetime. Beautifully written, great execution, excellent actors… Miss Dolly’s performance here is phenomenal!

The representation we have asked for years. Filipino born and raised, she represents the Filipinos and every Asian immigrant working overseas.

I love watching her interviews. I agree that she is eloquent and I learn so much from her as a filipino, and artist. I feel like her head's on her shoulders and very down to earth, but she also is funny, and witty, and not too self-deprecating. I wish all filipino artists are like her; my one dislike about the Philippines is its celebrity culture and how looks really get you far..Let's celebrate other type of people, the talented ones... I feel as a people we only like certain looks or ways...but artists like Dolly really break the mold...I wish that she wins the golden globes, and that she gets nominated for the Academy awards. If she wins both, I could see a future in Philippine Cinema with different characters and story lines from what is seen these days. I always enjoy Filipino artists with different tastes and keeps investigating what it is truly to be Filipino.

Filipinos need to revive the theater industry. The Philippines used to produce good films but it got stuck with poverty, crying and looking good…it is pathetic how Filipino talents find international recognition through foreign productions. Although I think her performance was ok, her character was great and the movie was excellent. I am glad Dolly is getting accolades and she deserves it.

I do not think crab mentality exists. I have to disagree with Dolly on this one. I am Filipino and I never once experienced the “crab mentality.”. For me there is no such thing because Filipinos in general help each other. Instead of crab mentality, there is corruption and there are evil elements not just in the Philippines but everywhere in the world. I think Filipinos overuse the notion of “crab mentality” when it comes to criticisms, there is a difference.
