Dollmaker Origins - This Disturbing Batman Villain Turns Flesh Of His Victims Into Sentient Dolls!

Gotham, home to criminals of all shapes and sizes, often houses some of the weirdest, craziest and most deranged criminals known to man. The DC comics has a penchant for creating villains that will truly give you goosebumps as you read all the horrific things they have been up to. This video will take a look at one of the most twisted villains, The Dollmaker.
The Dollmaker is the name of various fictional supervillains who appear in DC Comics' American comic novels. Tony Daniel, a writer and artist for Detective Comics, developed Dollmaker. The New 52 rebooted DC's continuity in September 2011. Barton Mathis is introduced as a new "Dollmaker" in this new timeline. Barton Mathis is a sick serial killer who runs a "family" out of Gotham City. He is the third iteration of the criminal alias "Dollmaker." The first was Plastic Man villain Marcel Mannequin, who committed crimes with sentient robot dolls. Anton Schott, the demented son of Superman's foe "The Toy Man," was the second SuperGirl villain. The version of The Dollmaker we will be primarily discussing in this video is Barton Mathis who became a major adversary of Batman and is infamously known for his killer MO in the unique way he killed and disposed of the bodies of his victims. To learn more about Mathis and his predecessors who also used the title of ‘Dollmaker’, keep watching!

Would like to see Dollmaker or Professor Pyg in The Batman 2. Yes I know, they're not really fitting in a PG-13 movie, but make it rated-R then!

What makes Barton’s story sad in particular for me is that he proved just to be a darker reflection of his father. He was turned into a monster, then he made his daughter into one. In a lot of ways, Dollhouse/Mathilda is arguably more evil than her father. Barton doesn’t see people as people; just dolls to toy with and mold. But Mathilda, she enjoys it, revels in it, going so far as to record her victims suffering, and implying she gets off on it. Honestly I wanna see those guys in a future Reeves movie. It would be a perfect Batman horror movie in the vain of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

This is the kind of villain I want to see depicted in an R-Rated Live Action. I am absolutely sick of the Joker being treated like some kind of rite of passage character for actors looking to branch out from being heartthrobs. Batman might be one of the most boring characters ever conceived in my opinion, but he the BEST villains! Hopefully with Matt Reeves' the Batman being a smash, we can finally get more than the same five villains recycled every few years and actually delve into the sick and twisted waters of the Dark Knight's gallery of rogues!

@@introvertstoner That's not really an excuse. I think the real reason is that its easier to do yet another Joker (and they know they can make money off of him) rather put work into actually fleshing out a character normies haven't seen before. That is one of the many reasons I'm not supporting "The Batman" because they're just trotting out the same old villains and the Riddler is reimagined to the point he isn't even the same character anymore.
