You mentioned wanting to do more in this scale...I remember Dollightful saying something about being mildly interested in designing other animal dolls in the same scale (probably using the same body pieces and just redesigning the head). If she ever does, I can just picture a series of tiny cute animal BJDs dressed in traditional clothing from around Asia, or even around the world!

Just in case you don’t know… you can seal the edges of ribbon and polyester fabric with fire. I tend to light a candle and then seal anything I’m working on all at once. I’ve burnt myself enough to know that using a lighter is really only a short term solution.

As a fellow korean who loves repaint videos I’m so happy seeing this wonderful work of yours! I love your hanbok, looks so pretty and elegant. Also I love your thorough research, small details can really change the meanings behind hanbok and everything- fantastic job!!! 🇰🇷🥰💖

This is extra perfect considering Chuseok was just this last week, and there’s a big association with Daltokki (the Moon Rabbit) ❤️

i love her shes so cute, but as a fun fact in case you do more bunny dolls they do not have paw pads on their feet. A lot of people dont actually know that but i think it adds more to their cute factor as it means their feet are all cute and fuzzy.

I was mildly frustrated at that as a long time bunny owner who sees that in many products 😅 but I love every single other aspect of the bunny, I love that she did a Hanbok bunny!!! Edit: did want to further express that it’s only a very mild annoyance, it doesn’t get in the way of appreciating this beautiful piece at all! It’s a common misconception but it sure is cute whether or not they’re given toe beans or the more accurate fluff. Both are super adorable.

It actually makes logical sense though since paw pads are used by predators to dampen the sound of their steps when stalking prey! Since bunnies are considered prey animals they don’t need toe beans 😂

Some time ago, I did a little bit of research on rabbit/hare anatomy for a character I was drawing. For some reason, I was surprised to learn that rabbits don’t have toe beans. Instead they have a thick layer of corse fur on their feet. I think Fennec foxes are the same way. Toe beans are always cute though so realism for cuteness is a fair trade.

I love her. The outfit is beautiful. Also the diaroma looks great.

Hi! I'm Korean and I'm so touched by this video. It's a really good video, the explanation was so kind and the video was so fun. Thank you so much! If you don't mind, I'd like to give you a little explanation about hanbok. Hanbok has continued to develop throughout Korea's 5,000-year history, taking its current form, and is a traditional Korean costume that is still steadily developing. The shape of hanbok during the Joseon Dynasty can be confirmed from the Goryeo Dynasty. (Goryeo was a country before the Joseon Dynasty). Goryeo is the origin of the English name of Korea.) Since the Goryeo Dynasty, a method of fixing a jeogori using a ribbon has been used, and it is characterized by shorter jeogori over time through Goryeo and Joseon. (Until the Goryeo Dynasty, the use of a ribbon has decreased significantly.) These days, China insists that hanbok belongs to China. Thank you so much for making this video.

Question, not sure if you have heard of it but there is a brand of paint called Kilz Primer. Not sure how well it could be use for doll customizing but I remember having to paint over black walls so we used that & it covered it very well. I wonder if someone could get Kilz, water it down (for a better finish) & use it for priming darker skinned dolls for less layers maybe? It's worth a interesting thought.

Do hope you get another bunny in black. I'd very much like to see some grey and/or black bunnies.

When I was watching miniature painting videos, they suggested painting dark grey... light grey... and then the white for a better finish? It's what the experts do!

you shouald in the future when you change something from black to white do a grey coat to start with, it really helps masking up black and makes you need less layers of white :)

Numerous public libraries around the world have printers you can use, and some locations of the UPS store, in addition to actual businesses that specialize in it. Some colleges and even high schools have them in maker spaces you could email and ask. A little research will reveal these are becoming more and more common.
