Wow. Cricut is super easy to understand. I got my explore air 2 in 2015 or 16, and I only bought it because I had only heard of the cameo before that and it seemed way too complicated. As soon as I saw the cricut, I looked up some videos on KZread and couldn't believe how simple it seemed to use and I bought one within a week of hearing about it. I had known about the silhouette for years! I rarely use it, though, because of how much work it is to cut anything especially anything that isn't vinyl. Most of my projects are making stencils or paper crafting, and cleaning your mats after that is a pain. Also, creating your own designs can take hours. There have been so many changes since I started with mine, it's hard to keep up, especially if you don't use it often. So even though it's easy to learn and make projects, it's just a lot of work for certain projects. Especially if you buy svgs on Etsy or somewhere else. Uploading multiple files can take forever. It's easier to buy files from cricut and use them, but I don't always like all their stuff. I don't recommend the access membership because you're stuck with it indefinitely. Because if you start making projects and one day decide you don't want the membership anymore, you can't cut those projects with cricut designs unless you purchase them or subscribe again, which you could have just purchased from the beginning instead of paying for a membership and then eventually buying the design so you don't have to keep paying for a membership. I have never done the membership, just bought designs. It's just so much to do anything on the machine and I'm too lazy for all that. Also, sometimes it doesn't cut correctly and then you waste time And materials. So if you're just planning to do vinyl, that's probably going to be less work than other materials without a backing. The backing contains all the mess and makes mats simple to clean.

That's great! Cricut finally woke up. I don't own one. (I have another brand.) But, I love cutting machines no matter the brand. They have really added extra enjoyment in our crafting lives. You should follow Jennifer Maker she has a bunch of video tutorials and Facebook groups as well as books she sells to give you confidence when using your cricut. She is the reason why i got started. She also has an online library with free projects and step by step instructions on how to do it. She is also here in KZread FYI
