I love this idea! My husband is an over the road truck driver and he is gone for two weeks at a time. We talk and text daily on the phone, but it's still hard being apart. Open after your first class, open when you feel discouraged, open when you need a little jesus or open when your feeling angry. My mom's words always ground me when I'm feeling frustrated. She always manages to bring back my calm. I think this is an amazing gift for your daughter. Being married with kids now and looking back there were times I blamed the world, when I was at fault... those notes will be a great asset to her first year away from home! So glad you are doing this... my mom did this for me and it was awesome. My mind went crazy while I was watching this... hope you don't mind that I share some of these thoughts. For the command strips you could say--hang in there... Antibacterial wipes: when you feel totally wiped out, dust yourself off and start the day with a fresh start. Swiss Miss: thinking of you warms my heart, here is something to warm yours. Throat drops: being sick totally sucks (lol).Laffy taffy: Feeling down? Need a good laugh? Chews these! Vaseline: remember to always let kind words come out of your mouth. Friendship bracelets: Go out and make new friends. So happy for this stage in your life and in your daughter's life.

Also The Black Tea would be when you need to Focus ( as in studying) And the beads maybe when your feeling the need to be creative like making those bracelets on perhaps placing the beads on the bottom of a "dream catcher" or making book marks on ribbon with words of encouragement. Some ideas that might be cool for the trickier items you bought: for the Lipton tea - open when it’s sunny outside, and for the beads - open when it’s rainy outside. Another one for the beads, besides just open when you are bored is maybe open when you need a break (from studying, etc)? Open when you’re feeling nostalgic, since she used to make bracelets like that? Or even just include the beads in the girls night envelope with the masks... For the tea, maybe an assortment of drink packets, like the water flavors and stuff and just simply open when you are thirsty? Anyway, good luck! These are all great =)

I absolutely LOVE this idea! So creative. Our daughter is only 6 and going into the 2nd grade so we're far from college. But, I also know it will be here before I know it. I'll have to remember this. She's our one and only. 😊

What a great idea MOM...we all know it's hard for our kids to spread their wings but this is a great way to have your arms out to hold or catch when needed! :)
