Oooohhhh!! That lazy susan is going on my list of things to get for school! I already have one pail of sharpened pencils and one container of need to be sharpened pencils, but I'd love to add pails for highlighters, erasers, dry erase markers...etc.

You have a gorgeous personality. I love how expressive and passionate you are when you speak. I am curious to see how you are going to use your new trolley - I may need to go and get another one.

another great video! Loved the idea of the highlighter kit and will have to head to your store and get that one! Also loved the rain/house glimpses (I'm from Pa. and we will retire there in 4 years) so it keeps me sane until then (sitting here in Pa. no rain/over 100 degrees ugh!) Can't wait to see the house our update as well!

I have the hanging pots for my Kitchen and LOVE it! I hang utensils. For my classroom, I went the cheaper version and got the plastic totes and metal rods. I had my husband spray paint the totes and they are being used for table bins.

Wow! It is hard to believe that Ian is in 5th grade! How time flies. My youngest brother is in 5th grade this year as well and I do not want to think about middle school! I am 9 weeks away from having my Master's in Elementary Education and my goal is to start teaching in August of next year! I love how your classroom is coming together! It looks amazing! I learn so much from you and I cannot wait to see your journey through this school year! God bless you! 😀 By the way, Blaine is growing so much!

I mentioned last week you put the top of a forest in those frames to be a window into another realm. You could totally put those butterfly stickers around those! (haven't watched everything yet, so I don't know if you've already figured out what to do with the frames)

Hi. I love watching your videos. You are one of my favorite KZreadr. Just a suggestion, it would be nice if you color code letters well. For example, when you write the word yellow put the letters in yellow.

if the cover of the highlighter kit ever falls off, adhere it to the inside of the plastic container. That way there's not as much wear and tear on it and since the boxes you'e using are see-through, the label is still displayed!

Just wondering if you are willing to share what program you use to make your resources sometimes I can't find things that match our curriculum or spelling differences in resources on TPT and would love to make my own and I love how bright and cheerful your resources are and would love to have a go at making some.

Hey! I have a question! How do you introduce your different call and response signals to your students? Do you add on throughout the year or do you introduce them all at once? Just saw your past video :)

  • @BridgingLiteracy

+Pocketful of Positivity I start off with four responses and then I add on throughout the year. I have 2 for energetic times, one for when I allow them to wrap up their conversation and a chime for when I need immediate attention.

The Lettered Classroom awesome!! Thank you SO much for sharing! And I'm so sorry for commenting twice. I will introduce them the first day of school then! :) I would love if you could do like a first day of school Procedure/routine video where you highlight how you go over the rules/expectations and procedures because I feel like the first day will be a lot of talking and I don't want that LOL. D: how do you model morning meetings/community circle? Do you have one on the first day as an ice breaker? How do introduce yourself? A video on this would be sooo very helpful!

At least in my family, those are dish towels, not dish cloths. A dish cloth/rag is what is used wet to wash the dishes or wipe the counters. A dish towel is used for drying the dishes.

Since you're an educator but also a mother, did/do you ever worry that one of your children is developing slower or faster than other kids their age? I'm studying to become a teacher and I'm learning so much about behavior and psychology etc. that I fear that I'd constantly worry about that when I have my own children, no matter the fact that I objectively know that they're probably developing at a normal pace and that every child is differen.
