    Why not just drill 4 holes on the bottom bowl near the top then get 4 screws with wing nuts then flip that stove top cover; the screws will serve to prevent it from sliding around. I like the items you have and I'm going to hunt the dollar stores for them and make myself a stove, ty for sharing!

  • @cagedraptor

    @cagedraptor

    I've done others like that but I didn't want to do that with this one. drilling holes, screws and wing nuts are great but not really an option if you in the woods and had no prep before hand. I try to think as if I have no electricity, no hardware store. Just come across a pile of trash and there is a pan and some old cans... how to make a usable stove.

  • @cagedraptor

    they would, i'm sure. I use metal clips, that way they don't have a chance of getting hot and burning or catching fire. I don't think it would get hot enough to catch cloths pins on fire but I don't think I want to take the chance. Metal binding clips work great. I figured that one out in the woods after trying to use it on an uneven ground. the top kept sliding and I was digging around in my pack and I came upon a few of those clips. Part of the kit now.

  • @cagedraptor

    5 жыл бұрын

    well, I am not really sure where this comment comes from ? this video really has nothing to do with homelessness. And although there are many homeless who are addicted to drugs I am not sure that your statement is really truthful. A lot are homeless because of drugs, I can give you that but most, even druggies, have underlining issues that cause homelessness just fixing a drug issue will not fix the over all problem. the real issues are why the drug issue in the first place? Fix that or at lest identify that issue and combat that problem and the drug issue will cure itself. I'm not a bleeding heart liberal by any means and am not really a fan of human kind as a whole but if we don't care for the weakest of us why be social at all? There is plenty of hate and dislike in this world, no need to add more to it. There are many who live that way purely from choice. In fact if I had no ties, being wife, kids or grands, I'd live a very free lifestyle as well. I admire those that choose that life they live a freedom most will never know. Plus the skill set they have can be well beyond most of us as far as survival gos.
