To paint smooth glass, put a layer of modge podge on the glass, let it dry completely then paint!! Love your gift ideas!!

Ester - Good tip. You could also check out YT channel ~ Hot Humble Pie with the title 'How To Make Chalk Paint Cheap and Easy' from 7 mos ago. Sometimes it is hard to find Waverly Chalk Paint.

Liz , Holly at Hot Humble Pie told us about adding baby powder to regular paint to make your own chalk paint. You may already know this trick. Love your ideas so much!

Love dollar tree crafts! I use rounds for ornaments every year that we cut from the bottom of the tree we cut down for that Xmas. Here’s my fave tho (since u asked, hehe!): Last year I made photo $1 store luminaries! I used 4 dollar store 4x6 frames (painted gold & backing removed), 1 small square candle mirror ($1 store) and printed the photos on my home photo printer on velum sheets. Glued all 4 frames together like a cube, then glued the mirror to the bottom, mod podged the photos on the OUTSIDE (that’s important!) of the frames’ glass and added homemade pillar candles! Each family member loved them and has theirs out all year. The photos still look great with the soft glow inside! Happy holidays and happy crafting :)

I love the vase diy. It's the simple form of the Turkish Ebruli art (with water and paint drawing on water and then transferring on paper). This is very simple and gorgeous technique. Thank you Liz. They all are cute.

I loved all of these gift ideas,I have 2 younger nieces that would love the journals and older nieces that would love the trinket trays lol great inexpensive ideas!

My favorite is the jar with all the smelly goodies!!! Working in my kitchin today and had a plan to fix a batch of this up. Clicked on to your vid and there you were doing the same thing. Thanks Liz. Blessings to you and yours:)

I adore simmering potpourri! I use the little Crockpot mini dip pot and have looked up so many different combinations. The beach, Williams Sonoma store etc. I get my spices from the Hispanic section of the grocery. Much more affordable and much fresher! ❤

The travel journal is the perfect gift for kids/teens right before a vacation--or at New Year's to chronicle a year of travel. As a mom, if you take along a glue stick and a small scissors, they can take a moment during down time like train rides or before bed they can add a page of journaling of what they did that day--adding in things like museum passes, pictures cut from free brochures and maps, and their own sketches.

Oh my goodness, you always amaze me with your ideas! Fabulous, going to have to do this. Love this

Personally I love the journal idea. I make handmade journals and mini albums, and I never figured on cork sheets for the covers. That's awesome, and you can make it look more grown-up depending on the decorations you add. The ribbon would also be even better if you stitched or glued the ends to prevent fraying - instant bookmark.

Pallette coasters are cute but I loved the potpourri jars and the wooden round ornaments. I think I'll string wooden beads on the twine to jazz them up a bit.

I loved the ornaments. I was already thinking about making some of these, I just didn't know the best way to do it. I think I'm going to salvage some limbs of a tree that blew over during a recent storm and have my hubby cut some disks for me. I can't wait

You can also grate some sidewalk chalk and add it to your paint. It will give you more texture to stick to glass
