Kmart almost closed in Australia, then they made this big change about 8 years ago, getting in great homewares at good prices and it just took off again. And it’s only gotten better, forcing the closure of many target stores because Kmart over took them. Maybe the US need to look at the model Kmart in Australia did and they can restart again.

I live in the US and the KMart that I could go to actually shut down during the pandemic which says a lot about how strong that place was with sales if it took a pandemic to close it for good. I actually got a lot of nice bed sets there like one for Dreamworks Home. Was the only store to sell single pillow cases for kids bed sets till Target realized how much extra money they can get for it. Hoping Walmart eventually comes to this conclusion. I actually went to the Walmart near me around late May and I was going to check out the fashion dolls but then I saw that they got back in stock the big like Rainbow Brite doll (got the fashion doll version around late April or early May along with an og wishing gem troll cause nostalgia) that’s being sold for the 40th anniversary and she’s only fifteen dollars, plus I’ve been wanting one since I was five or six (I was born the year after she was initially released) so childhood dream realized.
I swear if US monster high collectors are seeing the prices we pay for each doll they’d probably have a seizure of how much each doll cost like they get there’s around 20 while we get ours around 40 or 50 EACH😭🤧💀

Kmart is always an Aussie staple 😝 They took over a lot of our targets a while ago so we have a lot more Kmarts here than we do target these days. That is sad you guys don’t have Kmarts anymore 😭
