As a doll collector who also live in NYC, the “apartment storage game” is one in very familiar with. It also doesn’t help that I’m a costume and bridal gown builder so I also have a MASSIVE a fabric stock and finding new homes for all of it is becoming more and more challenging 😂🤣😅 my collection of Barbie’s alone(not including my rainbow high dolls, my LOL OMG dolls, or my 17”Disney dolls and my Gene Marshall dolls) is almost 2000 Barbie’s big! I have to pick and choose which ones I’m pulling out to display all the time. I’m also not an “in box” collector at all. So the get unboxed and stored in a plastic bin till I have a large enough living space to dedicate an entire room to displaying them. I also make their clothes so I dream of my own personal little Barbie museum to go in and just enjoy!!!

seeing those Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls unlocked so many memories! I couldn’t figure out why they looked SO familiar. I didn’t own these dolls; I owned a lot of the actual outfits bc of their Walmart line! I thought their stuff was cool as a kid, but holy crap their style rly was such a vibe. I wish I had photos of myself in those outfits. I was 8-11 when their stuff was at Walmart. I remember the dolls, I remember so many things now. So cool. love your videos 🥰

Great doll room tour 👍! I've used almost anything I can get my hands on as risers including the 4 pack foam dice from Dollar Tree 😆 My collection is in our living room, I don't have a separate space so I just have them on shelves too 😎 I definitely would like to get 1 of those glass shelves because they always look so pretty 😍

Such a fun setup! I need to get more cases for a lot of my dolls that're yet to be displayed lol! If the Derrek you're talking about is who I think it is, I actually helped him get the boxed Blockbuster Holiday in the Sun dolls! They were at a vintage toy store I frequented, and were just sitting there for about a year or more, at $25 EACH! I would've honestly loved them for my personal collection (that I had yet to start at the time), but I knew that was one of, I think, three sets he was still missing, so I was more than happy to help out

I just placed the Then and Now Swimsuit Barbie giftset in a high place for display, and the series ii Little Debbie at an eye level place where I will see her lots. She's super cute. Swimsuit girl shows a lot of skin! I'm not sure about it... I might sell her on. I also got a Dorothy doll after seeing your Dorothy vid. I got the 2006, and I adore her! Nearly cried when I opened the parcel. Placed her in a display case. ☺ I now have them in 3 rooms of my house. And I have one doll in the kitchen, a kitchen theme one. You have a great doll collection !!! I have a large doll collection myself. But i don't display them. My holy grail doll is a wonder woman Barbie doll. It was a birthday 🎁 from my aunt several years ago. Unfortunately my aunt passed away 3 years ago. So my wonder woman Barbie is very special to me.

@@dolls2remember my aunt was the best friend i had in my life. I'm not married or dating anyone. I don't have children. But my aunt knew i was gay. I knew I gay at 14 yrs old. My late grandma and aunt never judged me for being gay and always had my back when someone was judgemental towards me. I will always appreciate both ladies 💘 for me.

A lot of the 2004 dolls have long hair. The 2003 curl n style have long and very thick hair too, but the color is sort of strange and the fiber is not Saran, it’s very different. But The New York minute dolls have pretty long hair and honestly so do most of the other 2004 dolls :)

@gigiloveyeah yes! The Mary-Kate as Roxy doll in the New York minute set is SO Avril vibes! Her hair comes in a pony tail but with a couple boil rinses you can get it nice and long and straight and can add a little curl back into it too!! Ashley’s hair is super long too

By the way I'm the one who reduces the wonder woman doll head on Instagram 😁

Hey I've been talking with other barbie influencers. If everyone recorded a video expressing a wish for mattel to offer the #madetomove bodies especially sean (to replace black label kens with rubber band leg system.) That if every influencer did it same week then mattel might do it.
