I am MIND BLOWN! All these years I've been seeing Light Blue ads everywhere and I've always assumed it was a straight up oceanic scent... and now you're telling me it's not? 😅 Feels so strange. Now I really must smell it!

Well....for some it smells aquatic. I tend to think it borderlines oceanic/citrus.

Same! I find it actually quite citrus-y, like a gentler version of 4711

It's so nice that you put an Italy map and places so it could be clear what inspired designers.👏

Intense version is in my all time top five fragrance list 💫 Just love it 💝

Light Blue is one of my top 3 favorite fragrances! I have gone through bottles of it and don’t ever plan on being without it 🥰

Ahhh so funny you posted this i just ordered Light Blue Sun. Light Blue does not work for me personally but I love the scent so I thought I would try the flankers.

I bought light blue original version when I just got into perfumery hobby a few months ago thanks to lock down. I blind bought a smaller bottle because “Jeremy fragrance” on KZread recommended it s be a great fragrance to use for workout / gym session. But maybe it’s just me ? I actually find it quite sharp and strong scent for sweaty workout ? I feel like if people around me would feel offended by the scent. I d rather wearing “chole eau de parfum” during a sweaty gym session because of its soft un-offensive scent . Great video as always

Great review! I wore Light Blue when I was in my teens, so not really looking for something that reminds me of being a teeny ;) But I found Escape To Panarea very different as well! I love the smell. I haven't bought it yet, still pondering on it if I should... I feel the dry down is similar to Prada La Femme edp. Which is also a great scent. ETP has this warmer scent to it, but still summery. Indeed great scent for day and night ;)

Great video Sophie. I don't buy Light Blue anymore used to wear it all the time but i am interested in the one that you like the best not sure if i can get it here in Canada possibly online. Look forward to all your videos.

fyi the name of the climbing pink flower is called Bougainvillea. It's also common in southern california.

Sunset in Salina is the best fragrance of all time. It smells like holidays, summer, beach, good vibes. I love it 🥰

My favorite is the intense. I do like love is love. Last year they had the sun 🌞 one very coconut 🥥

Definitely my favorite summer perfume, Light blue is more fresh to me and actually i prefer the scent better than Eu Intense, but intese does last bit more, but is a bit more sweet. Love Panarea and sun.

Is Light Blue Sun worth buying when already owning Light Blue Intense? Or are they too similar?

I love the flanker Love in Capri....but i cant finded anywere. For me the best thing i have ever smelled!

I bought Light Blue and it was ok, not long lasting, but after seeing this video, I bought Light Blue Sun, and I like it much more!..I think it's the coconut like you described. Enjoy your videos....your describe the perfumes so well.

I have had the original EDT and Intense versions in my collection since their releases (although I don't use them much anymore). I really enjoyed these when they were newer to me. I bought Italian Zest per Delicious Delights' Arlene suggestion, and it is not near as good as original EDT and Intense. It's missing the part of Light Blue that got me hooked back in the day. It wasn't a total bust blind buy though because my 8 year old son enjoys it and made it his summer scent for 2020. ❤

Want to try Light Blue Sun because of the coconut! Bought Light Blue escape to Panerea and love ! Of course I have the original light blue. On the subject of coconut just received Bronze Goddess eau fraiche! I love the scent except it is a skin scent and has to be reapplied frequently. Still in love with it. Just bought two purse sprays of Bronze Goddess eau de parfum to see if it has better lasting power. Am on a coconut kick apparently!

I have a backup bottle of escape to Panera, purchased Sunset in Salina. I also own Love is Love. I thought that they came out with a new one for 2021?

I’ve tried the Original, the intense and the Panarea one. I thought escape to Panarea was nice but had a plastic smell to me. The intense did not last on me at all 😩

I have Dolce and Gabbana light blue intense....all the flankers aren't available in my city though.

OK now because of you, I purchased Sun and repurchased escape to panarea that I found thankfully :)

@@ranamiray sun is wonderful, I can smell the dna of the original but it's more on the summer side. You can smell the conconut in it. Fantastic summer fragrance. You can blind buy it. I have no regrets :)

This is my go to very hot weather perfume. I recently discovered a dupe which smells exactly the same as light blue EDT. The dupe is la rive Donna. I think it last longer than light blue EDT

I own the intense and the Capri. Both are incredible, Capri imo is much stronger than the intense with the classic DNA .. 🌊 🍋 🇮🇹

QUESTION: First, love your videos! ❤ I used to wear the original Light Blue version back in 2005 so many years ago. I remember it lasting and I used to get so many compliments. I purchased it again this year and I am so disappointed as it does not last at all. By the time I leave my home to go to work the scent is gone. Do you know if they might have changed the formula whereby the long lasting effect is gone?

The forever was recently on sale at Macy's. I love the original refreshing smell and typical hate strong florals but I am not a fan of Toilets. I hope the Forever is better!

Love this perfume! It’s my favorite! I love the original version. I got the love is love but accidentally got the cologne version because I got it at Ross lol!

I had heard that the Italian Zest flanker smelled like a lemon tart with cream. I just ordered it and have been excitedly awaiting it's arrival. I didn't realize it had worse lasting power than the original, and now hearing this, I'm a little bummed. My skin eats the OG scent up almost as fast as I can reapply. Maybe I will order LB Sun. Does anyone know what the 2021 flanker is going to be yet?

I've tried both the original and the intense and I wasn't impressed with either. I know an eau de toilette is not meant to last long, but the scent itself wasn't for me. It felt oddly cloying and too musky. It didn't read as fresh and summery on my skin. I sample the intense version and the sample paper stunk up my purse lol. It's just not for me.

FYI D&G Light Blue Sun was released in 2019 and not a few years ago like you mentioned. Italian Zest came out in 2018 so maybe you got confused between the two?

I wear the original LB and I have love is love. LIL has become an absolute new fave of mine I've done half a bottle during lockdown! It smells like lemon and raspberry sorbet 😛😛

Pink flowers : bougainvillea

The flowers are bougainvillea I believe.

I found a cheap Sunset in Salina and I bought it, big mistake. It smells like a really expired sunscreen that's gone bad....suncreen, not nice like tanning oil. It was very unpleasant to me and I threw it out.

I love sun one but very poor performance and poor longevity. It disappears in hot 10 minutes. Not worth the hype. If women want to buy light blue collection, best to stick with light blue original.

dariuszexoxo thought I was the only one, I was crazy to try because of Jeremy and once I was in a department store I had the chance to try it and I did like it but it did last very little. I thought the price wasn’t worth buying the intense version when you can get the original on a much better price at Costco. If it really had a better lasting power I would be thinking about getting it but the price of the intense is not worth it.

Italian islands are not tropical islands. So that fragrance that you say it smells humid and tropical it is not meant to be so. Also Capri is as exclusive as Portofino. There is nothing tropical about italian beautiful islands
