Lynch has some of the craziest licks if you ever break them down. Almost like he's playing 3d chess on a guitar, while most others are only playing checkers. The solo George decided to play SHOULD'VE been the one on the studio recording. This is why LIVE music is (or at least used to be) the BEST. The real human comes out of each member here. Real, live, and RAW!!!! I wish I could've found this live rendition in the record stores back when I was younger!

Lynch was Dokken !!🤘
Lynch has some of the craziest licks if you ever break them down. Almost like he's playing 3d chess on a guitar, while most others are only playing checkers. I'm also noticing Don used to have a little Klaus Meine, and a little Rob Halford, maybe even a little Helloween in his voice... seems to come out more live.
@IheartKISS

don did some demo work for the scorpions during the writing and recording of blackout because klaus meine was having problems with his voice due to polyps on his vocal cords which he eventually needed to have surgery to remove and needed to rest his voice as much as possible.
How could they break up after this masterpiece of an album 😪 and how did that work out for them.

Saw this show at the Capital Centre them opening for Aerosmith. George Lynch passed out third song from the flu. I was in nosebleed seats and wanted to leave. Said George was dehydrated terribly and said no drugs involved because she was into health and fitness.

I saw them in November 1987 (black Friday) on this tour. They blew the roof off the place! Then Aerosmith came out, screaming and screeching, so I left halfway through their show. Dokken should have been the headliners! They always sounded as good in concert as they did on their albums. It's amazing that you got to open for them years later and got to talk to Mick!

A brief encounter Like wind through the trees It came so suddenly But then it was gone Like it had never been How could I have ever seen A lost heart Will take your soul How could I have known How could I have known As she took me in her arms And brought me to an end With the kiss of death The kiss of death She promised paradise As she lied upon her bed Like a fallen angel With the devil's charm She promised paradise With the kiss of death I tried to stop As she held out her hand But the fire was burning inside She knew what i wanted She gave it and more But now I must pay the price We were strangers Passing in the night How could I have known How could I have known As she took me in her arms And brought me to an end With the kiss of death The kiss of death She promised paradise As she lied upon her bed Like a fallen angel With the devil's charm She promised paradise With the kiss of death As she took me in her arms I felt the devil's charm Suddenly I see The final destiny With the kiss of death The kiss of death She promised paradise As she lied upon her bed Like a fallen angel With the devil's charm She promised paradise With the kiss of death With the kiss of death

Isn't this song about contracting H.I.V
It's like a competition between George and Don. Who can be a bigger individual instead of a band member. As a new guitar player, I'd go to a show to hear my guitar God play the solos I've been slaving over in front of my face, and it's something else. It's like, wtf was that? That's not on the record. I liked them too. But judging from the comments people just don't dig very deep at all to see what's out there. I understand that people are spoon fed whatever flavor of the day but Dokken was only the tip of the iceberg. If you didn't grow up in the 80s or even if you did, research a little bit more and you'll really be blown away by what else was lurking just beneath the surface.

I'm sure the demos for the album were recorded on a 4 track, but the actual recording sessions for that release were recorded at Cherokee in Los Angeles with Roy Thomas Baker and the guy who produced Shout at the Devil. Don was losing his voice by Back for The Attack. Arrogant prick!!! He saved his steams and talked through most songs.. Lynch is on the money on this tour. Don't know why he changed his tone later on? Progressively got bad. Added phaser to all his solos trying to be a VH clone. Back for the Attack is the sickest guitar tone IMO. Rhythm and lead tone delay is monsterous!!!!
