And I’m sure she’s going to get upset by it. she’s also been saying she’s been tired with her career in the past. The whole segment of her prepping and shaving her eyebrows off is so relaxing/ASMR for me. I also love the idea of her replacing the hair with cute designs.

It's just hair! It grows back! It fits her well and it will be much easier for her to her into her wigs etc for her performances. Eyebrows grow bk too. I have shaved mine a few times. It's annoying trying to fix them and color them evenly at times. Then they grow bk the way I take them. I have work weave in my hair when it was short and loved playing with my hair like that. Sometimes I wanted to shave it off too! Me doing that, I now was able to grow my hair down to my butt! To each their own! Love her hair, personality, music etc. Nothing has changed! You go Doja!

I don't know what type of hair you got, but I personally hate doing mine (frizzy, curly) and until you find the right products that work and learn to use the right tools it is difficult and takes time, and mine are also long so! Can't imagine what a poc goes through like Doja for example!

I have very poofy frizzy curly hair and sure if I put effort, it may look nice neat with perfect curls but…idc. I don’t think frizzy even looks bad. So yeah IF she wants it to look a certain way, it is a TON of work

I know they bout to copy the eye brows. I cut off my hair once too after many years of relaxers , weave and other fake hair . I also enjoyed many years of short hair and she is right u feel very free with short hair . I decided to grow my hair natural and I'm enjoying this experience also . Women should be allowed to go through different hair phases without judgement .

She looks great! It's a real shame she's struggling with handling her type 4 hair texture and dislikes it so much. I have a similar texture to Doja and it can be v difficult to look after - but it's so liberating when you learn to do it and can finally do all the things Doja listed without stressing. Unless she stays bald this is going to stay a reoccurring issue for her.

Thats the thing it seems as if finer textured hair is an ingrained preference. It's sad because natural hair isn't difficult to manage unless you make it or don't know how to take care of your hair. Look at Skai Jackson, she's she's natural all her life and can easily do her hair. I will say short natural hair can be a bit more challenging than longer of course but it's all about feeling comfortable and beautiful at the end of the day. I hope Doja falls in love with her hair but if this makes her happy? I'm happy for her.

@@moonlighthugsandbugs yeah. I was for a LONG TIME ingrained that silky straight hair was the standard and my hair just “sucked”. But I’m fine with my hair now. I love it. Sure it’s not silky nor does it have defined curls but I clean it, brush it, and yeah I’m happy with that. Even now people tell me (suggest) on things like straightening it or using a lot of products as well as time to make it look not frizzy/poofy and with defined curls. I say thank you but no. I’m happy with my hair but I KNOW how hard it is to feel like this. I hope she feels like this one day. Love your hair!
