She says " 'Id rather be famous instead,' I let all that get to my head. I don't care, I paint the town red." When she says I'd rather be famous instead she is quoting her past self and reflects by saying, man I let all that get to my head. But she doesn't care about dwelling on her past mistakes or on what anyone has to say about it she just cares about the art because as we can see from this performance it's what makes her feel the most free. I don't know her and I'm not obsessed with her or anything, but as a fellow artist I can recognize another artist breaking down her own walls and not caring how people interpret it because she knows what she's doing. And I'm not saying everything she has done is right and she should be looked up to because frankly I don't know and she most likely is hanging around dark forces but the sense I get is that she ain't scared and she just wants to play their own game her own way. Which I find rather interesting.

The fact that her outfit was the so-labeled "normal" by society (so unexpected of her to appear like that) and that she gave hints all over the performance that she has a red outfit underneath so that she would eventually change, thing that never happened to prove again that she won't allign with what is expected of her! I think that there was another outfit under it but the reveal hasn’t worked, you can see she’s trying to take it off when she’s hidden by the dancer and that she is wearing something red under it.

the energy the backup dancers mimicking her, the transitions, it's so good. i wish they didn't cut out the intro where doja kept on saying "look at me" while cutting to different backup dancers. that built up the performance so well!

The emotion in that final verse, and the scream at the end was EVERYTHING! This album is for everyone who ever underestimated her! Doja has been my number one since she premiered on COLORS. I've watched her go from making beats in her bedroom, to doing high profile interviews and the views on her IG Lives grew and grew. I felt she made it when she collaborated with Rico, but little did I know that was just the beginning. She continues to consistently get better and better in EVERY WAY and NEVER ceases to amaze me. To see her evolve over the last few years into this unstoppable force of a woman she is, just makes me so DAMN PROUD of her. This IS her fu**in MOMENT and she deserves all her flowers. I'll be screaming how proud I am at her front row center in November and I can't wait!!!! ❤️

This is so well put. Exactly my look on this album and doja as a whole. People don’t understand that she’s trolling them so hard. She’s like “oh you think I’m this? Let me show you”.
