Those showers are safety measures required in or immediately adjacent to lab rooms. Purpose being: decontamination for chemical spills that got onto a person. Instructions are usually on a wall next to the shower, likely right above the pipe leading to the emergency eye wash station next to the man's hips in the video clip.

Those are "safety showers" that OSHA began requiring anywhere corrosive chemicals are used, starting in 1990. In schools, they mostly exist in or very near classrooms with labs (think chemistry).
