Doin the dash. OBS Chevy High Country dash swap
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
A big chunk of the interior is now out of the way. I didn't have to trim nearly as much as I thought we would so things actually rolled along pretty decent! Merch will be coming very soon hopefully so keep your eyes peeled for info on that if you want to support the channel. Thank you all for watching and as always please drop a comment and a like if you like what you see!

Man, I would never try that on any vehicle. With respect; You must have a lot of time on your hands, and plenty of vehicles to drive. Good luck on that build brother!!! Oh, and I’m loving the work you’re doing.

This truck was purchased as a project to build yessir! Lol yeah my WRX is my daily. This project was started in 2020 during covid so you know the deal on that. Now I got a baby and have been gettin a new career started so time and budget have went away but we’re building back up to get the program back solid

I wonder how hard this would be to do on an 03 Silverado
Looking really good!! Great progress! We work on our 96 C1500 this weekend tried to adjust the slop in the steering box been a problem we used the adjustment on the box to tighten up the worm gear but still seems to wonder on us and we’ve replaced everything steering box is about a year old we are going to just do a rebuild kit on it next.. replaced the rag joint all the bushings are new in the a arms, new end links new everything over the last two years still had the slop.. we tighten the steering box with the hex key but still seems to wonder but did make it better figured I’d see if you had any suggestions

Change the idler arm,pitman arm,power steering gear box ,wheel alignment if the vehicle steers to the right by itself then you must need power gearing steering box also I had a slop on my 94 and it ended up being my starter 😂
Sweetness sup Chris
I want to do this so bad, my interior on my 93 dually is getting ruined by water so once i fix that im gojng to gut and swap, how hard is it to actually make this all fit and work? Worth it to do myself or pay someone?
Did you put the door panels to match on the
Man that looks dope 👌🏽💯 you think I can do this to a 1999 Chevy Tahoe ?
@MattyXBuilds
4 жыл бұрын
You could for sure, I bet it’s the same width. Man you might try and swipe a newer Tahoe dash to put in there! That would be nuts
This making me want to do this to my 94

Get after it!
What about a tab all the way across the windshield? It would get rid of the flex/loose feeling for the top.
@MattyXBuilds
4 жыл бұрын
We’re brainstorming something along the lines of that. A way for the beauty panel and the dash pad to secure to those existing tabs from the obs

@@MattyXBuilds I’m doing a dash swap as well and was wondering what kind of Bluetooth tablet and stereo so it would make it look pretty decent
@MattyXBuilds
11 ай бұрын
I would suggest any double din stereo like Kenwood or Pioneer. Just get the aftermarket dash kit for a 2014-2018 GM truck and the radio harness for your OBS. That’ll get your radio situation solved. Any iPad or android tablet will work, mine is an Amazon Fire 10” tablet. And then get the OBDX Bluetooth adapter for android or the Wi-Fi version for Apple products.

What about swapping the steering column will it fit
@MattyXBuilds
3 жыл бұрын
We test fit it, it would fit. Trick is, with the electronic steering, we’d have to delete all that off the column. Also I don’t have a key for the new column so I’d have to work around that. We still have some research to do on using the new column homie
