The Ooredoo Doha Marathon, an annual sporting extravaganza hosted in the capital since 2013, has officially took place in Qatar. The much awaited 11th edition scheduled for February 16, 2024. Runners from across the globe will converge on the Qatari capital to participate in the full marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k races during the weekend event. The inaugural race, a half marathon, kicked off on January 26, 2013, drawing more than 300 participants who raced from the Museum of Islamic Arts and back. The event has steadily grown in popularity, with last year’s edition witnessing an impressive turnout of around 8,000 participants.
