Kim Jackson Going vegan sounds appealing. I honestly have nothing against people that are vegan. Though, the thing is with supply and demand, is that I'm sure that the vast majority of people are not vegan in the world. Therefore I don't believe being vegan is really saving any animals. Kim Jackson I know what diffusion of responsibility is. I also know that I am not partaking in it. Diffusion of responsibility is when I'm more likely to not help someone, or something just because others are around. I apologize if that's how I came off. Also, yes I can realize how many Dairy farms are closing, but at the same time many are also not closing, and the majority that are closing are typically the smaller dairy farms. However, I was mostly just talking about the meat industry. Also, yes I do realize that plant based, and vegan based foods are becoming more abundant which is great for people that want to live that lifestyle. Furthermore, yes I can't deny that eating meat can be unhealthy. Except of course if the meat is unprocessed and cooked properly. Processed meat is to blame for the majority of what you have said, because processed meat has chemicals that regular meat does not have. Also, another healthy diet someone could have is a Mediterranean diet, or even just a balanced diet. Though, in the end to each their own. Not everyone is going to convert to veganism or to even become a vegetarian. Vegetarians make up about 3% of Americas populace and vegans about 0.5 of Americas populace. In the end most people are just going to do what they wish to do, and live the life that they want to live.

while that is morally questionable, you should be more concered about the 10s of millions of strays, dumped out by owners after they broke with thier gfs, or they only bought it because it was a cute puppy. and some owners are even cruel to pets. Dont forget your lip gloss, lipsticks, your medications come from testing animals.

cass waa Not my make up. Mine is not tested on Animals. As for strays, yes, it's tragic. Factory Farming, hunting, fur and leather trades, canned hunting, killing for food, dog meat festivals,.... The list is endless. All of these animals are unwilling victims to humans. It makes my heart break. It's why I don't eat meat, seafood, poultry or wear leather or fur.

I had two beagles when I was growing, not at once, and they were the kindest most loving animals. I miss having one here in Thailand because of the love they are capable of giving. I hope more beagles are saved and can find forever homes.

There are many products that do not test on animals. To make them more affordable might be banging on the same wall as making drugs more affordable. Like I said earlier, vinegar makes a fine cleaner and you all look just fine without cosmetics. People can eat less meat. Much less. Then we can also work on the problem of factory animal farming.

Barnaby Brown Around 98% of all animal testing results are discarded, as they are of no use to humans. Seeing how a rat reacts to something, is wrong because they do not and never will have the same anatomy as us. And that 2% that wasn’t discarded? That needs to be tested on humans to make sure the medicine that was tested on a rat works on a human. Animal testing is pointless and don’t go around claiming it saved millions of lives, because obviously a dog will never react to a drug the way a human does.

+Megan Sprite No, because that is still classified as cruelty. It's the same product. If you tested the product on an animal once, and one time only, and never do it again, that is technically cruelty-free. But if you test the product once every year that is NOT cruelty free, and people cannot come and steal somebody else's product items. But if they take the items that have not been tested yet, and test it in a cruelty free way, which is a kind of DNA test in a way, that would be fine. Hope this helps! Have a great day! The world has heated up *so much*, all because we use things like cars and other machinery. Those kinda of things make me personally have no faith in humanity! Prachi Patil we are intelligent social creatures. But individually if I were to put you up against an orangutan, would you be able to beat it in strength? How about beating a bear in speed? A dolphin a swimming? Spiders build complex web structures without being taught, their web is stronger than man made steel. Or how about the complex structure and system of ant mounds? Physically, we don't even come close to alot of what these creatures can do naturally. We are on top of the pyramid because of our ability to learn and live socially, we relied on each other's creativity and invention to build a livable human habitat away from nature, not being a part of nature. We measure intelligence base on human standard but if we measure ourselves by animal standard, we are not that fast, strong, tough, our skin ca is soft and weak compared to other animals. When we fall, we get injured way more easily. We talk about the human wonders like the great pyramids but what about those structures made by certain animals that baffles science and comes of as alien to our eyes? Or how an animal like a possum have an immune system so tough many toxic bacteria and snake venom can't even kill them? There's animals that can survive living in space without the need of human technology like the tardigrade. Everything on this earth is unique in its own right, no one is on top. Take away the bees (they're not on top of the your pyramid) they're small and insignificant but wipe them out and we all will pay a terrible price.

Jelly bean I’m not a fan of testing on animals period. Didn’t used to care but with so many issues on cruelty to animals coming to light, I can’t do much but select more naturally made alternatives. Also selecting brands that don’t test on animals. My choice but I also don’t have to support companies that do. I love the beagle breed and it’s only because of their docile and sweet nature that companies continue to use them. Just my opinion as I’m sure you have yours. Be well.

Because there is no rational reason why somenone random would go through the comment section and promote animal abuse in the age of alternative methods much more reliable than animal testing, which has a reliability like 5%.

This breaks my heart because I've always loved dogs and I wanna work with them when I'm older, I've done work experience whereas I'm not allowed one of my own because my mum doesn't like dogs so I'll get one when I move out but every dog should be loved and treated kindly and not live like that

Jessie Thomas Then the world would fall into anarchy. If people don't pay taxes, we don't have a government. I'm not saying tax rates should be really high or anything, but we need to pay taxes or else we won't have things like roads or public schools or libraries or a military.

If I could have one wish in my life, it would be to never see any animals be mistreated. They are nothing but loving and sweet

We got one tested beagle for seven years now here in Holland. Our dog is called Wish and he is a lovely dog. In may he turns 8 years old. A good fishingmate and pet at home..... And he can bark! Hahaha! We love him

just google it works too cruelty free bunny website or peta. usually big mainstream companies test on animals or their parent company does. sometimes they say they don't but brands will pay for a third party to test their products

I absolutely love places that save animals from horrible environments and testing labs. I would love to one day be involved in helping animals.

They need to stop this crap beagles are my favorite. Look at them baby beagles so adorable. My wife and I have rescued 4 beagles so far they are our babies.❤️🐕🐕🐕🐕

that is so sad their kept in labs that is so awful and when they were pups they lived in cages with NO toys.

This made me cry because, I have a beagle of my own and I had her since I was 5 and I know if I saw her being experimented on I would want her out of there and back in my loving arms.

GO L.A RAMS - they are such sweet, loving, curious dogs that they don't fight back. They should try Pit Bulls, I'd LOVE to see a bunch of chewed up researchers! I have beagles, they are the BEST breed ever and it kills me to know they use them in such a way 😢

Jessica Pisetky Pitt Bulls actually don't bite people as much as people say and when they do typically it's because they were abused and don't trust people I know this because I've adopted 5 Pitt Bulls they shouldn't test on Pitt Bulls they should just stop testing on animals altogether

Just saying, I completely support this cause and have downloaded the app and made donations, but some of these people have to do this to buy money for food. They are not necessarily "evil scumbags" that enjoy testing on beagles...they are just doing what they have to do to survive.

I'm probably late but: we scientifically know a ton about beagle anatomy. Probably more than the human body in fact. Beagles have been studied in and out, literally.

This is sad no animal deserves to be treated like objects. I'm glad that there are people helping these beautiful animals.

I would use a beagle for... A great cuddle buddy but not to force it D: yet they are so cute :3

the way that villains in cartoons were often portrayed as scientists confused me as a child. it's obvious now that this was for a reason: they are villains. however the ones that test on living things for unnecessary reasons are the ones I am talking about so if you happen to be a scientist please don't take this in offence or anything(just trying to avoid yet another war in the comments)

Brooke's Memes And Dreams I mean... the research done here saves thousands of lives. Yes it’s unfortunate they have to be used but at the end of the day the day we can’t use people. You may think these scientists are “evil” but they’re really developing technologies that has saved and will save millions of lives.

That’s why we need to get rid of the term “dog owner” or “owner” for every living creature with emotions and feelings, it just perpetuates that objectification mentality for people who would abuse them, regardless if you don’t use it that way, the term is not a positive one. We are their guardians and their parents.
