Floyd's bass lines are incredibly underrated. Young lust for instance is beautiful.

Roger is so good at not over playing. When I play his lines I always feel like there should be more fills, but this is because I (and I don't think I'm alone) have a tendency to overplay. But when you LISTEN, it is the perfect balance of everything. This was such a hard concept for me to grasp for so long... to play with your ears, and always be listening to what all the other instruments are doing to know how you can best make the music better. Long live PF!!!

Actually, who recorded all the bass for Animals album was David Gilmour

started learning bass a month and a hlaf ago, super thankful you posted this its my favorite song and I already know most of it thanks to you.

Amazing performance. Note for note. I always enjoyed rogers playing, u can definitely tell it’s him when he does his trademark licks (hammer-ons, the pentatonic box shape-y up and downs, and the octaves and fifths… just to mention some).

@@armageddon2419 David played most of the bass on the later albums (animals - Final Cut), but Roger did indeed play on this song, though it's the only song on the album that he does. The of the album David plays bass.

Good job! The only mistake I found is that at 6:10 the bass does not change to C - it stays on Bb. There's a tension from the keyboards and guitars but the bass stays on Bb.

The part starting at 5:33 is incorrect. The bass is doing D-A-D-E ( 5-7-7-9) not D-A-F-E.

Foi mesmo. Eles meio que inverteram as funções nesse álbum: Gilmour gravou o baixo e a guitarra solo, Waters gravou violão e guitarra rítmica, além de quase todos os vocais

I don´t understand why sometimes the note is written Bb and A# in the same staff

Bb and A# are the same note cause is half step down to b but also half step up the a, so is right in both of cases

b and # don't´share the same sheet. It depends on the scale used.

I try my best to line the video and audio waves up using the visual waveform view in Adobe premiere. It can be a big pain in the butt for sure. You could also hit a note on your insturment while the video is recording and match that up visually with the main audio feed from your DAW.

Great job! But needs a correction on the legend: it's David Gilmour on the bass
