Yes! So sweet. So gentle. They are one of my favorite breeds.

I had a collie cross as a kid...he was great. Loved doing everthing ...fetch, search, pick his toys from the other room when u name them, herd sheep, learn new stuff........ my dog now.....she is smart but lazy as fuck.....she just has no work drive what so ever...but we love her.

In the video you can see the dog absolutely loves you ☺️☺️☺️, the dog looks up at you with complete adoration throughout the video ☺️☺️☺️

Since way early in life I have lived with at least one Collie at a time. They each and everyone have been wonderful ❤ loving sweet personalities. 😋 I now have two sweet Collie puppies living with me. I would not have it any other way. Not are they very I intelegent they are always happy warm 😊 and loving. They can make you love them. If you like dogs Collies are the 👌

Hey! Any tips/tricks on how too get your pooch too "sit pretty" like your beautiful collie did? I have a Sholie mix and that is the only trick that he refuses to learn. Seems like he doesnt like jumping up in that fashion at all. Doesn't even do the naughty puppy jump when people come over

We just got our first collie rough Not the fastest to learn but that’s up to the individual dog I guess...depends on energy and drive and ours seem medium drive which suits us Our Shetland sheepdog was a faster learner but more anxious and yappy It’s inspiring to see what ur collie can do I’ll see what I can do with ours!

Thank you! :) I think it's individual, my collies learn very quickly, the youngest one is able to learn simple tricks in a few minutes :) Collies are very special, they're really smart and if they don't want to do something at the moment, they just don't do that, so the best thing you can do is give them a break, go to walk or something and try it another day.

It takes patience love and a calm voice. Never beat a 🐕 and yelling is not a good thing. 😕 Get some treats at the grocery store and reward your companion he/she does something. I give Collies treats hugs and 👏 praise...If you are consistent the dog will respond and they will teach you...many things.

Would you say collies are a good first time dog (first dog on my own)? Also, how do they tend to be with other dogs?

I would say yes if you can get right into puppy classes. It would be good to get to know the dog parents and tell the breeder you want a good first time dog, they know the personalities fairly quickly.. One thing I will say is ours would never run away because he wants to always have us where he can see us and he loves to learn new things. I think he is more work than a lot of dogs because he needs mental stimulation as well as long play times every day. If you are a natural leader( or don't mind a challenge) have plenty of energy and plenty of time I say go for it because mine makes me smile every single day and he loves to greet other people. So many people tell me he made their day better.🐶🐾

Yes, they are lovely gentle biddable dogs and don't require the same levels of exercise/stimulation as say a border collie. Just don't expect it to act like a golden retriever! They are very polite but can come across as somewhat aloof, especially to strangers.

Mine (Buddy) loves being groomed. He’s almost 6 months old now. My trick was to let him chew one of the brushes while I used the comb , keeps him quiet for ages, then I swap to something else he loves to chew while I brush out his coat. This is how I got him to tolerate using the hair dryer to dry his coat too

This breed are not dogs... they’re the best people possible,desguised in fur! I have been blessed with a blue merle male, named Lemmy.
