I don’t know if you guys will see this, but I definitely have to recommend Fantastic Four (the first movie tie in game, 2005 I think it came out) for PS2. Like most tie in games are ass and I won’t say it’s a masterpiece, but unlike the movie, it’s bomb. Like you have mole men, a bald scientist, dinosaurs, a mummy, aliens, a guy with a iron face and many other villains to fight. You also get a bunch more story and action compared to the movie and Susan Storm, who basically gets shafted into eye candy and over-sexualized in the films, actually gets to use her powers (which she should, because she’s got the most out of the group and is the most unique member of the group). I just want to recommend it, because I know you guys will like it, even if it’s not perfect. It’s pretty fun, though to get to some of the cooler villains, you have to play though a bit of it.

@@JakeTheComicBookDude It’s one of those smaller releases. I first heard of it on a demo disc, but I got it in the late 2000’s. I think it’s one of those, “what if we make this” games, like Postal.
The funny thing about this game is that it also has a surprisingly active speed running community because of how odd it is.

I did a couple of runs back in 2016. It's a weird but interesting little game. You can pretty much skip all of the major roadblocks in the game and beat it in less than 15 minutes.

This was made for kids. And DAMN we loved it. It was a nice break from hard and intensive games. It was just fun and stress free and we got to pretend we were a dog. It was perfect for a lil kid like I was.

I was obsesed whith this game when I was young. I saw it on a second hand store and the premise of it called my atention. Sadly, I never played it because I didn't have the play 2. So I could only imagine what it would be like. Watching this gameplay makes me thing that, efectively, I would have been obsesed whith this game If I could play it at that age
The final level of this game was honestly traumatic lol

Fun fact: The villain in the game gets turned into cat food in the end, pretty dark for a kids game.

Not only that but the game had to be censored in either the japanese or UK versions (can't remember which one) BECAUSE of how dark the ending was!

It's kinda dark but the fact that you can still hear her raging at you from inside the giant can just makes it cartoonish. 😂 Or...was that the censored version? 😬

Imagine Ms. Peaches in the afterlife explaining how she died... "Yeah, so how did you get here anyways?" "A dog farted on me" "💀💀💀" Of all the ways to go out, this the most embarrassing
Something I loved about this game when I LPed it is that those radio stations actually contain hidden lore, like the main villain Miss Peaches - if you listen to the farmhouse broadcast in the attic all the way through they imply that she used to live in the farm area, because every character in that area has a last name like "Chicken[noun]" and they mention that they knew Miss Peaches back when she was still Loretta Chickenmeat. Before her obsession with hygiene and her city life as a dog food magnate, she was a farm girl.

Holy shit you just unlocked a part from my memory with this one. I remember going to the flea market with my family when I was 10 years old and the sellers at the video game booth were hyping this game up so much to me and constantly talking about the “smell-o-vision” lmfao
@HorrorWorldx

As a dog lover, when I was 12 years old in 2005, I wanted this game so bad. I would constantly watch videos on GameSpot, before KZread was around. When I finally bought it on Amazon, I was so excited for it to arrive. The day before it was supposed to arrive, an evacuation order was issued for my hometown of New Orleans, LA. My home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, along with the game that had arrived on my doorstep. For some reason, for 15 years, I never tried to play the game again. 15 years later, living in Japan now, I finally played the game, albeit in Japanese. Sure, it wasn’t as good as little me expected, but it was all a bit emotional. It’s crazy coming this far and seeing people play the game on KZread, especially considering how minor it was. The great thing about the PlayStation 2 was how so many small companies were able to experiment and make a variety of games. Now, because development costs are through the roof, only the biggest publishers can make games, and it’s a damn shame. Anyway. Thank you for playing this game.

Indie games exist, and in the majority of cases they offer far better gameplay and also got more thought put into them, whilst having far less predatory monetization practices. Ive spent over a thousand hours in a game called starsector. For 15 bucks. A thousand in terraria. And several hundreds in a dozen other indie titles ive played over the years, dwarf fortress steam release, or hell a game thats free and exists on mobile aswell would be cataclysm dark days ahead. I cant stand the brain dead gameplay of almost all fps aaa games as example. I stay far away from major studios nowadays. Almost all are just trash games, nothing more. Ea, ubisoft, activision. And god knows the other hundreds of horrendous studios with overpriced garbage. *cough* bethesda *cough*
@yoymate6316

the psx and the ps2 really had that heavily experimental thing to their libraries… i think the only current console that somewhat retains that magic is the switch. there’s a lot of interesting indie games on the eShop, far more than the latest playstation or xbox. but even among the indie games, i feel like there was a lot more weirdness and, to an extent, freshness in the small studio games from the psx-ps2 era, mostly because the industry as a whole was still figuring 3D game design out. established tropes can be deconstructed or eschewed, but that’s far harder to do than experimenting on a clean slate
I used to think catfood was actually made from dogs as a kid because of this game
I picked this up at a GameStop ages ago only cuz I really liked the cover art and also the back of the case talking about you being a doggo. Wasn’t expecting the crazy trip this game would bring me on. I actually beat it at one point lol so much nostalgia for this!
I remember this game was in the Jampack demo disc and it included Crash Twinsanity, Star Wars Battlefront and Tak 2. I can't believe it's been around 19 years since I first played the demo of Dog's Life. I'm so old

One of my most played games as a kid. This game is great and the OST is legit amazing. 😁
I played this all the time as a kid, call it nostalgia, I just missed when we had silly weird games like this one
Call it what you will, I must have played hundreds of hours of Dogs Life growing up. And I did nothing but throw my own shit around most of the time 😂😂
This was one of my fave childhood games, have so many fond memories of it! But looking back as it as an adult, it's such a bizarre game
This brought back so many memories, I might have to download an emulator and get after it. Was one of those games I pulled off the shelf at Gamestop when I was 10 and had no idea what the hell I was getting myself into. Honestly panned out to be an extremely fun game.
I loved this game growing up at 10-11 in 2004 or 2005 and I might go out of my way to buy a copy to play it again after all these years. First time I played it was the bare minimum linear run but the other times I played it I kept discovering new areas and things to do. This was the first game that introduced me to the collectathon genre and the concept of going out of my way to find hidden areas and collectables.
I still play this game. Loved it then as a kid and love it now. Looking back at it as an adult though, it's so demented😅
I used to adore this game 😂 as a kid I probably played it through like 8 times

Thats one hell of a quality cutscene for ps2
I'd like to see you play more of this. This game gets wild.
Mind pulp should have played this game and witness the ending for how morbid is it
This was my absolute favourite childhood games and still stands up as one of my favourite games of all time :') Such a good game!
I played the demo endlessly as a kid and then later forgot about it, so much so that i thought i'd made the game up in my head or maybe misremembered another game or somesuch. Until now that is, my memories of this dopy game have all come back to me in a flurry of bizarre nostalgia :P
I'm 26 and i really enjoyed playing this game as a lil kid. Really need a remaster one lol
I remember playing this game a lot when I was younger. Sure the physics are wonky at times and the graphics are what you'd expect from an indie game, but it was a great free-roam, anything goes style game. I don't know that I have much of a list of other obscurely good PS2 titles, but I also had fun with Jurrasic Park: Operation Genesis. Apparently it was a PC title that was ported to PS2 with some content cuts, but it was still so much fun. I'd spend forever to get my park to a 5 star rating, researched all the things and "completed" the game, then out of boredom I'd destroy a section of raptor pen fence and just watch my star rating fall to 0 in a matter of minutes

I was so utterly obsessed with the demo of this game at Target, every time we visited it I'd play until we had to leave. For most of my life after I forgot what the name was, just remembered it as "the farting dog game".
I remember seeing this game on the shelf at a store called Makro where you could buy stuff in bulk, but I never got my parents to buy it and always thought it looked intriguing. Also in that store they had Ghost Master bundled with the first Scary Movie. Makro was a cool store. Anyway I'm excited to finally see what this game is like
I remember playing this game in K-Mart as a kid, and I liked it so much I had my mom buy it. I still have it to this day.
Bruh this is one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Back then as a child it was SO good. I had a Beagle companion in my family and love dogs all teh way. The vibe and the music of this game were amazing :D It had so much little details and secrets
This game has been nostalgic to me and been living in my head free real estate for years. Thank you Mind Pulp for helping me find it.
I would love a playthrough series of this game! It was a major part of my childhood days and I would love to see more of your humorous takes on this awesome, yet bizarre game!

i’m so excited for this video - this game was one my favourites as a kid.
Absolutely hilarious guys!! Your videos always get me in fits of laughter.
I played this once as a child at a Walmart kiosk, I never bought it or played for more than 5 mins, but it always stuck with me. Glad to see it again.
I'd say the dog island on PS2 would rival this game in how odd and bizarre it is. Would be great to see you guys play it.
I totally forgot this game existed until now, nice one! I remember wanting to try it but never getting round to it
my childhood, I loved this game. Seeing this and hearing the soundtrack is such a wild nostalgia trip for me because I haven't seen this game in decades
This game was such a big part of my childhood
Another chore memory unlocked. When I was a kid I *really* wanted this game because... DOGS, but I kinda imagined it to be different xD
Man I played this game quite a bit as a kid and even then I recognised how strange it was hahaha You've struck a memory in a deep crevice of my mind with this one
I hope it’s not too much to ask, but could you guys please try to post more that once per week? I need more of your top-notch comedy in my life!

Hey guys just wanted to say as a long time fan and watcher. Thank you. Literally cosmically perfect if you ask me. When this game came out when my sister and I were in middle school. I bought this for her birthday. Which is ironically today. And we laughed for hours playing this nightmare. Thank you. (My sister was very happy to see this today) 💗
I just realised, isn't the little boy voice the same as finn in adventure time ? It looks a lot alike and having him call jake is a funny coincidence
One thing i remember about this game is how easy it was to glitch out The textures and colors especially would bug out absolutely unprompted over the smallest actions, like spamming the bark button or wiggling the movement stick so Jake would wobble back and forth I wish i knew why it was like this cause it feels like something the developers would've caught
This used to be my absolute favorite game as a kid, I like to think it formed me into who I am
that lewis Hamilton commentary was peak entertainment. loved it
i literally only had the demo for this game i thought it was a fever dream youve just opened a memory
I played this game so much when I was a child. It was, without being sarcastic, my favorite game for a long time
