Years ago I had 5 dogs. 2 of them would go with the kids to the bus every morning. The other 3 would meet the bus when the kids came home. Our biggest dog would wait for me to come home from work at the end of the road leading to my house. He would "escort" me to the house. One day the kids had a friend visit. When that kids Dad showed up to take him home. My dogs wouldn't allow the kid to go to Dad. They wouldn't allow Dad to go near his kid. They literally grabbed the kid by the wrist and clothes to drag the kid into the house. Plus they kept Dad at the gate. I had to put the dogs in a bedroom,then take the kid to Dad. I knew something was up. I told Dad that my dogs fell in love with his kid. I started questioning my kids about the kids home life. I had my kids invite the kid over more. I discovered that Dad was abusive to the kid and Mom. I made friends with Mom and was able to get her and the kid away from Dad. They had to go into hiding,so we lost contact. I received a letter about 8 yrs after they left. The kid wrote: Thank you for saving me and Mom. Signed it with just initials. It was my dogs that saved them.

My dog loves people and I take her to Home depot a lot because she gets to see so many people there. Most of the time when someone comes up to her she'll roll over and want her belly rubbed but every so often maybe 1 in 100 she doesn't like the person no matter what they do. I always think to myself that person probably has something serious to hide because this dog loves everyone. Dogs are an amazing gift to people.

stupid story of a person who thinks he can write novels...

All my dogs have been protective of children. Now that I have lung cancer my dogs especially my German Shepherd is even more protective of me. When I have a hard time breathing, she rests her head on my lap so I can pet her and calm my breathing down. Anywhere I go in my house, she follows me. I have a new rescue puppy who has picked up on what my other two rescue dogs do with me. They protect me and my family even more now that I've become weaker. It's amazing how smart they are.

So sorry to hear about your current condition but glad to hear you’re surrounded by love. If you’re interested lookup Transfer Factors they boost your immune system and help it fight against cancer or any threat (I personally get the 4Life ones). My mother in law took these while having cancer and was able to avoid chemo. Anyways I know this is very personal but I wanted to share this information with you in case you’re interested. Humans almost all have a price, the eternal loyalty of a dog is priceless.

As an owner of Rottweilers for over 40 years I've owned 24 of them. Let me tell you something that is an absolute fact. A dog no matter what breed will always protect you your family your home if properly trained. Also a dog will never forget you always love you. They will thank you they understand if your sick or injured they go into an automatic protection mode. They will like this video always let the owner know its just up to the owner to understand and investigate like this guy did. There's nothing like an animal's love but a dog is extra special not only is it man's best friend the word DOG spells GOD backwards.

@kclayA111 not necessarily but yes every breed of dog has a different temperament or behavioral traits that sets them apart from others yet at a basic level any dog that hasn't be properly socialized or trained has the possibility of being aggressive it happens all the time sadly and sometimes from dog breeds that have a reputation for being the most calm and kind its just bad ownership see instead 9f outlawing the dog its far better to have people require a license to own the animal essentially making them take proper handling and training classes to make sure they raise the dog correctly

Dogs are our real best friend no matter what breed he is.

Mittens is so precious, what a sweet fur baby. Dogs are truly a gift.

I have always since I was a young girl listened to my dog. If my dog did not like a person I stayed away from that person. I am now 70 years old and I still listen to my dog. They are a good judge of character and if a person is not right the dog picks it up immediately. Anybody who has ever owned a dog knows that their dog Works off of The energy they feel around them and energy coming off people or things or other animals. I'm not surprised at this dog guarded that baby. Dogs instinctually always guard the younger members of a pack. So to a dog their humans are their pack and the baby has to be protected.

I had a dog when I was a little girl in Sicily and Lola would sense something was wrong and she went went into “protection” mode ASAP! Animals are so protective of their loved ones, my son has suffered from depression and had a heart condition and my cats sleep with him, follow him where ever he goes no matter the time,he fainted one time when I was at work and both my cats and dogs where there until he was able to get up. It’s a difficult thing for me but I’m glad that our cats and dogs are there.

The Pitbull was just protecting his food. Anyone that allows those dogs around babies are evil people.

Reminds me of our since departed gentleman of a golden labrador "Bailey", he never barked for three years not a sound, he was a shelter dog and had been mistreated and probably beaten for barking, we honestly thought that he couldn't bark! We had a beautiful baby girl unexpectedly three years after we got him and on the first proud walk with the pram we brought "the gent" with us, my wife's friend saw us from a distance and came running towards us to see the baby and Bailey scared the s**t out of all of us with the loudest bark , I didn't think at that point in time that I could have loved him more! RIP Bailey, the best dog ever?

This is one of the reasons I love my dogs so much! They let my husband and I know everything. My mother always says "if you are going to gave a dog as a pet, then you should let them stay outside. They should always be on the inside because they sense that we don't have and they will try and protect you."

what baffles me about this story is that why wasn't their dog barking frantically every night when Wanda was breaking into the baby's bedroom ? why wasn't the dog barking then ? why did they have to wait and see the security camera anomalies to know what's going on? the dog was supposed to protect their home.

When I was about 16 we got a rescue dog, we called her Cali Jane. She was supposed to be my dog but as my mum was the one home with Cali most days the bond that grew between them was unbreakable. Whenever my mum went to answer the door, Cali was there right beside her, if they were out walking Cali would stand between my mum and anyone she met in the walk. I’m 100% sure that if anyone had caused my mum harm, that dog would’ve given her life to save my mum. Dogs are our best friends and protectors. I just wish people were kinder to them

Pets and little kids will always let you know who is a bad/good person. They both will gravitate to them even after a short time of knowing them.

That one crate dog got very good. Instant pay attention to that dogs mannerism around everybody and she loves that baby. She won’t let anyone hurt that baby that’s fantastic. I had a dog like that. She lived to be 19 years old and I miss her very much you’re very blessed that dog is growing up with your child.

Love the yard signs that read..."my dog can make it to the fence in 3.1 seconds, can you?" 😜

People just don't realize how smart animals really are.

Always pay attention to your dog’s behavior around people or when you are outside walking your dog because it just might save your life or keep you out of danger like it did me. If your dog doesn’t like someone they will let you know by their behavior towards that person.

Never underestimate an animal's instinct, behavior and love of the "pack". Many years ago every summer we would go on vacation to visit my husband's parents. One summer, my husband was getting the car ready for our trip. Our son was about 5 months old at the time and was in his car seat in the living room. All of a sudden I heard my husband yell, "STOP!!!" Next thing I knew our 4 dogs and cat broke down the front steel security door and flew into the front yard. I ran out after them. In the front yard, laying on it's back was a rottie. The female lab/cocker had it by it's throat, another was on it's stomach, and another had it's legs. The baby cockapoo was in the bushes barking like crazy and the cat was shredding the top of the rottie's head. By this time, my husband had the gun out and pointed at the rottie telling these 2 punk ass kids he was going to shoot the dog. Never saw those 2 punks or their dog ever again.

english can’t be your first language. i read this shit three times and still can’t make sense of it. where tf do the two kids come from? if the rottie was on its back eith the female cocapoo had it by its throat why is your husband pointing the gun at the rott? nothing here makes any sense jesus christ.

I was walking to my apartment from my car one night with my dog. As we walked down a dark, narrow corridor, my dog started barking and snarling in the dark. Turns out some guy was hiding in the dark waiting for someone, maybe anyone. As soon as my Shar Pei started snarling, he ran off into the night. The pack mentality is real. Trust your dog to pick up on things you can't see or feel yourself.

I know this is off topic...but the couple watching the video in shock cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 also...so glad the baby is ok! That dog said, "Not tuhday Sadum!" 😂

When my kids' father died, my cat sat in my lap the entire day - normally she was shy and stand -offish, but not that day. Animals are amazing!

Sometimes you either can't figure out what's going on and if you have a small baby in the house that baby matters the most. If you think the dog is becoming aggressive and could possibly be a danger the dog's gotta go. It sucks, but it's not worth the risk of it hurting the baby. It's best to try and find a good home for it with someone who might be a better fit.

I grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada. The area had predatory carnivores like coyotes and bears and probably wolves as well although I hadn't ever seen them. We had four good-sized dogs on the farm and their behaviour always amazed me whenever we would go out for a walk. Two of the dogs would always stay with us and the other two would be off wandering. The dogs would alternate the entire time you would be walking between roaming and walking with you and I can only assume that they naturally broke up into a guard and a patrol group.

Dogs are the biggest blessing in life we as shitty humans do not deserve their unconditional love and loyalty they do not judge us they accept every single detail of their owners they are literally angels. Raise them right they deserve to be loved because nothing will break their love for you.
