Thanks for sharing! Ordering these for my Model Y. Wasn't sure if they were going to stay on or not, but with a Velcro back it should stay on there until I need to take it off.

Yep, definitely would get those for our German Shepard 5yr old curious and active dog. And yes, covering the center console will be a requirement too as the dog likes to step up there to see where we're going and make navigation suggestions ... "Hey! Slow down, gotta scan that poodle over there!".

Love the magnetic thingys. Help to prevent accidental snagging or tearing from rings or reaching over from the front seats to toss something sharp or pointy edged onto the back seat if you're not paying attention or are in a rush. Covers look better than the OEM originals. Fab attention to detail by the manufacturer - the lines on the floor covering align with that of the seatback covers. Very slick.

I was waiting for the back portion to come out. Thank for the installation and review. Placing my order. For the center console I bought BASENOR Tesla Model 3 Model Y Center Console Cover Armrest Pad from Amazon. Looks good in the car. Looks OEM. YOu can’t even tell.

Great vid as usual, am hoping Tesl offers a two piece sun shade, should help eliminate the sag and allow you to choose which part of the roof/cabin you want/need to protect. I bought the MaxSpider mats and am hoping they come out with second row seat back covers. I had something like this fir our 2017 GMC Acadia and they were fabulous.

Thank you for the code. We are also in the foothills of Denver and want to take our dogs more often. We just ordered the back seat covers for our Y and will be cutting slits and using repelling rings to secure the dogs.

This is great, we also have 2 ridgebacks and live in CO. We have a xc90 and they fit without issue, I've been looking at the Y to replace my bmw coupe, something my wife can commute in and something we could also haul the dogs in vs being dependent on the xc90

Have you tried a cargo retention net? Like a set with two nets. One when the second row's backrests are up, and another one when those backrests are down. May come in handy if you have to break hard with heavy stuff in the back.

I've been researching those. Hoping to find one that'll fit

I use a canvas dog hammock (amazon) with a large round dog bed (Costco). My dog loves it and it protects the seats completely. When I use to fold down the seats, my dog would slide around so much and was so unstable that riding in the car was not enjoyable for her. I'm assuming this is the same case for your dogs, I can kinda tell it may have been a nightmare trying to drive around with both back there unsecure. Try a dog backseat hammock with a mesh pass through so that the dogs can still see you and also get air from the vents in the back. Put beds back there and your dogs will love you even more, haha I have a Rottweiler, BTW

Hi, very interesting vid 👍 Alas we’re still waiting for the Model Y in the UK (late ‘21 / ‘22?) otherwise I could check this at the dealer, but will one of your dogs fit comfortably in the boot space with the rear seats up? Our pooch is a similar size and weight. Many thanks!

I am planning to order a new model Y this week. The new range is 326. Have you heard if Tesla will make any other changes to the model Y? In the model 3 besides the additional range, and heat pump. They also did chrome delete and changed the inside center console. Have you heard if they will change the center console on the Y? Should I wait?

So I am looking at the magnets for the sun screen and wondering. If you tied a robust netting to the underside of the back of the seats or floor and have an array of magnets to hold the netting against the sun roof could that be a dog restraint against entry forward?

I'd definitely get the net. I have it in my non Tesla SUV and it works great!

Oh, I love those, I want the seat back protectors for my Model S, but they don't have them. I bought my S because i also have a big dog and the 3 would never work. I still love my S, so no need to switch to a Y

Hey guys FYI i bought TESMANIAN floormats. Well looks like I’m missing the front passenger mat. I emailed for Support a few days ago but no response yet. Otherwise, the rest of the mats fit great and seemed to be tough and durable.

I’m going to get these for sure. But, for things like hauling wood or other heavy duty cargo, I’m getting a small trailer. I learned my lesson with stuff like that when I cracked a windshield with a 2x4 in my i3!

I was excited to install them on my MY, however was very disappointed in less than a month after severals seat folds. Bottom edge is curling and stays in that shape when you fold the seat down.

What's the point of the middle seat button cutout?

I just got them delivered yesterday... Love them! still waiting for delivery of my Model Y 🙊 - My only concern since this product covers the tether anchors, is where will I be able to latch the dog safety Seatbelt... I won’t be able to figure it out until I have the car with me 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m sure I’ll figure something out. For the moment... I have a pile full of model Y accessories and no model Y yet. I’m ready. 🙌🏻😆

How can you keep the big dogs from going onto the front seats?

Just wanted to say the same. Some net or dog harnesses for the seatbelts...

I'd buy these today if there was a cut out for the 3 car seat anchor points, it appears right now we would have to cut through these mats to expose the car seat anchor points...

where do you get the owner jacket from? and do they make for model 3?

A dog kennel would be ideal. I wanted one when I had a greyhound, but my car was even smaller so there was no room for that. Then finding a greyhound sized kennel was hard. My dog would get nervous and fall over when the car moved. I felt bad for her. A kennel is supposedly safer but I've never had the chance to try it. My dog was old and passed away before I had the chance.

Can these be used in a Tesla Model 3 too?

Do the dogs slide around when you take turn or accelerate? Or is it grippy? I'm looking for something that doesn't send my big girl sliding around (despite driving like a cautious trucker).

I mean they work, but why wouldn't they have cut outs for the car seat hooks or have it split so you can fold the middle seat down. As for the sunshade I think a simple suction cup in the middle would be nicer than having to stick a magnet to your glass roof. That would annoy me if the shade wasn't up.

The obvious solution seems to be leaving the seats up in the back. That’s what I’m planning to do with my dogs.

I have one 80lbs RR and she easily fits in the back of my 2022 Model Y with the back seats up. Two big Ridgebacks might be a bit cramped but I'm sure they could do it.

Would these fit the Model 3?

Let them sit out for a while before installing them so they can off gas the chemicals and reduce the smell. That new car smell is actually the carpets and plastics releasing chemicals into the air. Parking in the garage with the windows rolled down helps reduce the smell.

Just bought the 2nd Row Back Seat Covers to round out the entire set of Tesmanian mats. I had to haul a large box for work a few weeks ago and I didn't like that it went on the back of the seats. Problem solved!

60/40 split is BS in my opinion. The greatest feature of the seat is the drop down middle. I bought all the other mats and love them, but this one is a disappointment.

Basenor used to make a three piece which, in videos, looks great. Now they have changed to the two piece. Sadly, thus far, I have not found a manufacturer offering the three piece sets.

So this looks nice but there’s something still not protected from dog hair. The sides on the back of the trunk area still has carpet exposed. Dog hair will stick like crazy. I’ll need a full pet cargo cover.

My only issue with the floor protectors, is that my dog slides all over on them. saves my car, but he is like on an ice skating rink

Are they gonna make a version that's specifically for the Model Y? I don't wanna lose the 40-20-40 split for some generic seat protector. What's weird is it almost looks like they even put an outline for the middle seat release and never actually cut it out. I'll be the first in line when they actually make one that won't disable critical features.

TIP: I had clear bra installed on my rear Raptor door wells so my GSD doesn’t scratch the paint.

Dogs are great but in cars it is totally cringe to watch the destruction
