Their concept of family isn't the same as ours, but it is traumatic for both puppies and mother dog to be separated earlier then 8 weeks of age. This poor mom was clearly traumatized bc her puppies were separated from her way too early

Separating the pups a 4 weeks means they have not had time to learn how to act as dogs from their mother and are likely to have behavioural issues. 8 weeks with the mother are recommended.

Yeah when I got my pug l he wasn't even a month I believe and now he has behavior issues and he doesnt know how to behave he also has seperation anxiety and doesnt like being around other dogs. We have to get him trained

I got my puppy at 4 weeks old, shes a mastiff pitbull lab. And you, my friend, are right. She turned 1 like 2 days ago, but for the months on end she was a major cunt 😂 But we got her that young from a kill shelter. We had to take her to training classes, but she absolutely cant be around other dogs. Shes far too big and loud around them. She would rip my throat out if i got bewteen her and another dog. Shes a great house dog though! Walk her daily and only eats home cooked meals, sometimes a raw diet applied.

I am very happy at ending .Now both mom and baby will be happy .Please don't separate them.

No wonder she hid her puppy ! Four weeks old is way too young to be adopted. Puppies should not be separated from their mother until they are at least 8 weeks old and eating food well on their own. Geez hope they survived. Please keep Zac and Happy together and get her spayed!!!!!

Poor Mama dog. I'm so glad she was able to keep her baby. Dogs aren't supposed to be separated in the first place. They're Pack Animals and they have a very strong relationship with each other.

They noticed the dog was taking the food to some place and I think maybe they gave her the food directly from the can so the dog could carrie the food way easier. My opinion, maybe I'm wrong and they are indeed very ignorant

Well it is true, tuna cans specially but there's also food brands that doesn't let the sharp edges because they know street dogs lick them in the garbage dumps, (at Least in Mexico) royal canin and Hills wet food doesn't leave sharp edges because the area of the "easy open" isn't made of hard metal, maybe this can was like that 🤔

So sweet how momma allways saved the food to take to her little baby even though im sure pup is still nurseing as well. Shes such a good momma . please let her keep this one. Just have her foxed so she does not have to go thru that loss feeling every time the pups has to be adopted out. I can totally imagine her hideing her entire litter next time.

The mother dog was afraid of losing more children to adoption. If Zach lost Happy it would have been hard. The other losses hurt her all her children given away. If she lost Happy it would have killed her. No wonder why she was depressed and stressed out. Anytime mothers lose their children, each child a part of them dies. Josie

Our goldendoodle had an accidental pregnancy. At around 7-8months bez our other dog is so horny. & she gave birth to 9 pups. 5 boys 4 girls all healthy & happy. They are well feed & taken care of from Cloey our great mom. She had a few issues with puppy number 6. & few problems after birth. Other wise than that everyone is happy & healthy again.

1 month is way to early. They at the absolute least need to be 6 weeks old. But 8 weeks is generally old enough as long as they are eating solid food. It's best to wait until around 12-16 weeks. By then they are weaned and ready to move on. And so is the mother. 4 weeks is pretty much a bottle baby. There can be reasons you have to separate them though. They'll do ok if you give them a bottle or teach them how to eat canned food. Which they do by watering it down with puppy or in the case of kittens kitty formula. Walmart and other grocery stores have it. Always feed them their bottles on their tummy. The way the eat from Mom. I think they can learn to drink their formula around four weeks from a bowl. But it is messy. Very much messy. They should be going potty on their own too but if not a soft damp cloth has to be rubbed over their rumps like the mother would lick will stimulate them to go.

@@Nirrrina we tried bottle feeding all 9 puppies they denied the puppy formula. They weren't sucking on it. So we poked holes in it. Still didn't work. But momma felt better so we put them back on. & they went feeding again. We tried everything..

This is why I felt bad about breeding my dog. I refuse to do so and my husband don't understand because he's not a mother. I didn't get her to breed her and rip her babies away. I got her to love and be a companion when he's away working and I'm home alone especially nights.

Please let her keep the last baby forever! Thank you for making a comfortable nest at home for both of them. The humans finally understand how painful it is to separate the mother dog and her babies! What a smart dog!

One time, my aunts dog hid her puppy because her other puppies from the past litters were taken from her, and they found the puppy in a shoe. We decided to name him Shoes and keep him for ourselves, but of course allow Penny to visit and reunite with her puppy, seeing as he's her only pup who lives near walking distance.

They want to be together just like we do. Animals are smart and sensitiv as well and we need to respect that more! Hope we learn one day!

Kittens should be 6-8 weeks old before adoption. Puppies should be 8-10 weeks old before adoption. Please never separate a mother from her babies before they are mature enough.

I have four purebred Norwegian Forest cats purchased from four different breeders across the United States every breeder required that the kitten was 16 weeks old before it was able to go to a new home both kittens and puppies need to be with their mothers so that they can adjust when they move on to their new family.

I sold the earliest puppies at seven weeks. I don’t think that’s too early because the mom was sick of puppies. Four or five weeks is too early though.

my breeder said 12 weeks atleast because the cats (does it go for dogs aswell?) learn to socialise. The difference to other cats? My cats are more relaxed, socialized, no scratching or biting. It's like they've learned some manners :)

@@eluziv Watching My-Wife's-Cat (a stray who adopted us) with her kittens, she didn't really start disciplining them until about 3-4 months old. (From her, we learned that grabbing an overly rambunctious kitterbutt and licking its head tells it to quit doing something. It's surprisingly effective, but you'll get cat hair on your tongue.) They went from being little assholes to well-behaved little sweethearts with her training them until they hit about 6-8 months old. I'm now convinced that people who don't like cats only met cats who were taken from their parents too soon.

Poor thing. They could have at least let them be big enough to be weaned from their mother before setting up the adoption. I'm glad they looked out for her and Happy, he's a cute little puppy and she looks a little relieved to still have him around.

That puppy and his mom are absolutely precious and I would take them both! When there is that much of a bond between the pair there is no way I would be able to adopt that puppy out. I hope they kept them together.

Before I adopt a puppy I always make sure the parents like me and that there’s is both parents present. I would never adopt from a single mother dog. Also the puppies need to like me and everyone needs to know me. Adopting a puppy is very special and needs to be done correctly.

After she hid her last baby since she knows exactly what adoption is, she stopped by Walmart to pick up some puppy chow. She went through the self checkout since the register lines were busy. She then hurried back to the spot where she hid her baby from adoption hoping the adopters hadn't found her incredibly difficult to find hiding place because any dog that is informed about human social services certainly can hide a puppy that no human can find!

Pretty sure between 7-9 weeks is the minimum, otherwise there wasn't enough dog socialization with the mother and litter mates since the most of it happen usually between 3-7 weeks. A puppy adopted too soon might develop behavior problems

I know the puppies were separated too early from their mother. In this case, I really don't see abuse, or the owner trying to be cruel.. Rather, I see a case of the owner not knowing it was too soon to separate the puppies. They wouldn't of gone through all that work with the camera and Hunting after the mother if they did not care. Hopefully, the adorable little puppy and mom will be together forever!! ❤
