Honestly, people dont give animals enough credit for intelligence. I swear, you watch these videos and you're like, "They say humans are the only 'intelligent life on the planet, but I see some people and I question them. I watch the Dodo and see clear evidence of thinking and recognition of situations." Its funny how a dog can know how to protect a family and know the pecking order for protection. 1. Child. 2. Adult woman. 3. Family cat. Stay between where the family sleeps and the door for intruders. Stay between the human and the wood line while walking in the woods to protect from predators lurking. Just amazing.

Learning to communicate and understand other species is vital for growing humans, and is beneficial to other animals as well. If we all had better communication with other humans and animals, the world would begin to heal. I think it's odd schools don't have animals, or place a strong interest in keeping kids educated and communicating and working with other species as a part of a balanced education, but I hope all children who can be raised with them get the opportunity. We need more responsible animal people on this planet.

I wish every child could grow with loving parents, instead of being nurtured by dogs/cats. I wish every child could count on their parents for the first steps in in life instead seeing their parents behind some cameras, if ever! I wish parents realize how pathetic they are filming craps for their egos instead of holding their children's hands when they do the first steps. I wish people would stop calling their pets children/brothers/sisters. That's delusional.

Rescue dogs are the best! I hope she remembers Mason, she already loves watching all the videos of them together:)

I like when the baby was digging a hole with her shovel and her dog was like "let me help you with that. I can do that well." LOL. That was also adorable when he stood next to her in an attempt to ensure she would not fall as she walked. Smart, protective pet. Well trained. A beautiful story.

Mason's eyes melt my heart. Every child should have a Mason in their life.

I guess that having a dog near the baby even improves his or her health in every way, like decrease alergies, improve motility skills, stabilizing mood, etc. A match made in heaven, dogs and babies.

Absolutely. Having a dog near young children improves their immunity a lot. Not to mention all the benefits of helping them in their emotional and mental growth. I wish every child was blessed with a dog in their home.

These two were so perfectly paired. The dog knew exactly how to take of care and support the baby and the baby cuddled and hugged and petted the dog exactly as a dog likes without putting at the ears or smacking the dog in the face or anything. Just a perfect match.

The dog's body language tells us he knows she is a baby. Beautiful behavior on his part.

We didn't domesticate dogs, they domesticated us. A natural bond that should never be taken for granted. Everything loves something.

So sweet. Animals know who needs the most help.

I couldn’t help but think the same thing.. No matter how good of a parent one is ..sometimes danger comes and for her to have protection 24/7 is so comforting. Love the baby/dog relationships .. it’s precious

Every kid needs a good dog and every dog needs a good kid. They have a connection that is needed for both. It calms and teaches them love on a different level.

Yeah, it just makes me sad that dogs don't live longer, because by the time the baby is 10-15, the doggos will be at the end of their lives! Still though, I wouldn't trade away that experience!

My niece grew up with 2 Jack Russell terriers.. when she didn't like something, she growled like a dog!! 🤣❤️

It's always amazing to see how a dog could be so gentle, patient and attentive to a baby. Truly heart warming 💖

That was sooo adorable; he was right by her side even when she started walking on her own🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗!!

I like how he stayed by her side when she took her first steps. He made sure that she wasn't going to fall. They will have a very beautiful relationship and I always think its a good thing for kids to grow up with animals. It teaches them patience, love for others and how to be gentle. Babies this young are uncoordinated and can be unpredictable, so many dogs would be scared, but this dog just understands everything. I'm so impressed.

I got a new boss about five years ago. At first I wasn't sure what to expect from him. When he invited me to his home I was impressed by his four year old daughter and his six year old son, but what really impressed me was how his kids got along with their two dogs. Everything the kids did was in the company of these two large dogs that doted on the kids. My new boss explained that both he and his wife were raised with dogs and they wanted the same for their children. He turned out to be a great boss. Very patient, compassionate, informal, and watching out for his subordinates. Dogs, there is a reason that dog is god spelled backwards!

@@ytcomms3945 True. I used to work in the engineering department for a large American company. We got a new manager who was from Pakistan. In a department meeting he announced that dogs were unclean and that people that owned dogs risked Allah's displeasure. With one or two exceptions everyone in the department had one or more dogs. Everyone posted dog pictures in their cubicles and every power point presentation had dog pictures hidden in the slides. Our new boss lasted about 2 months before he was replaced by a new manager who had dogs.

@@melmarsh3247 - Sadly that's not always true. I was 11 when I received my puppy for Christmas... best Christmas gift ever... best dog in the world too. My brother would've been 6 yrs. old then. In spite of how much he loved our dog as well, he still turned out to be a despicable sociopath (now 51), and I don't use that word lightly. No doubt dogs help healthy people maintain good/positive mental health, but unhealthy personality types definitely require more than a dog to work out their demons. 😕

I helped a niece learn to walk and that was an amazing feeling. Seeing that moment here felt the same. Wow.

What a blessed relationship they will be lifelong friends!! Be blessed darling!!
