I love the victory visits, and using an electric toothbrush for the sound and vibration of a clipper. I don't have a clipper but the toothbrush can prepare my puppy. I have been working on touching as well. My older dog had a very bad first experience with a groomer that hurt his back so bad he had to go on pain meds. It took a long time to counter-condition him to have some fun. I have found a current groomer that lets him be social at his visits.

Love your videos Michele. We are getting a Puppy this Wednesday 16th Feb 2022. We are very excited. I have been watching all your videos and did a seminar this week. I truely wish I could afford your puppy training course. I live in a tiny place in Australia, 4 hours away from any city. Your on line program would be brilliant. Thank you so much for all you do. I am learning so much and hope that I will be able to put it into practice to help create a joyful, relaxed puppy and happy family 🌻🐶

I just scheduled the first groomer appointment for my cockapoo. I'm going to call them back tomorrow about doing a Victory Visit. Thanks for the tip. We have started introducing the comb and will do the same with the electric toothbrush as well. :)

Hi Michele. I have a 4 month old toy golden doodle. I’m trying to prepare her for the groomer. I did give her a bath and did it in many steps before actually getting her wet and bathing. I made it pretty short and have treats. You’ve taught me so much!

Springer doodle, female, 18 weeks old. No groomer but vet had to clean up anal and vulva area. They gave cheesy treats but she still didn’t like it. Came her at 12 weeks. Has had two baths. Loves baths. Not keen on trimmers. Love your videos. I have learned a lot.
