i hope the child that tied Boston to the bench back then had a chance to grow up unscathed in that environment. The compassion and the ability to make such a decision/find such a solution for Boston so that he can lead a better life shows me a very special personality. Yes, I'm thinking a child. What a kind heart they had; they did the only thing they could think of to save him. It's so sad but I am glad they did, or I should say glad that it worked out well for Boston. Now he just needs a forever family. Let's manifest this!!!!!!

@@jallan9578they were probably scared, or embarrassed to have to give up their dog. I’ve seen shelters judge people heavily for needing to give up their pets, even when they don’t know the full story.

How could people hear this story and see this sweet, happy boy, and not want to adopt him? So sad he got returned twice. He deserves a happy forever. Hopefully he gets the right family who can keep up with him.

​​@@bikedawg why is that sad? People have differing lifestyles and physical abilities. In my golden retriever's first 3 years we went hiking and got out almost daily. But then I had my first kid and the long hikes dropped to a couple times per week. I had no idea my child would be diagnosed with a disability that limited our spontaneity even further. But by then she was older and was more content with being a "couch potato." So the new lifestyle fit her well.

I want to adopt one day but only when I’m financially able to support more than just my small boy.

I have worked so hard on my anger but I can not find compassion for those who abuse animals. Sweet baby. I'm so. Happy that his family member helped him escape from abuse

My sweet dog was up for adoption for 5 months before I met her. She was the most beautiful and loving girl. She never once did anything even slightly wrong. Why was she never adopted after months of adoption events and being on Petfinder? Because destiny was waiting to bring us together.

​@@thenightporter my sweet baby girl was with an elderly lady who died, then adopted by a family with children & another dog. She was already traumatized by the loss of her "mom" and the other dog HATED her. It wouldn't even let her out of the crate to eat. Because she was "frozen" & wouldn't come out of her crate to play, the family didn't want her. She was there for about 7 months. I wasn't looking for a dog, but when I held her, she relaxed & nearly went to sleep. I just knew it was right. She has had lots of fears, but we've been able to overcome nearly all of them over the last 2 years. My heart is so full of love for her & although I wish she hadn't had to have bad experiences, our lives brought us together, and that's what really matters. ❤

Especially if someone has corrected his habit of jumping up. BIG turn-off for many people, especially if he knocks kids down. I DO really hope he finds his forever home, preferably with other dogs so that he can play some of his energy out in a good way.

Labs are high energy working dogs, they're bred to retrieve birds for hunters, they have webbed toes for swimming...they need exercise 4 hours a day minimum

I live in Western NY and I was looking for another dog, but the applications and interviews were so demanding and every time I wanted to see a dog I never got any responses back or was told the dogs were already adopted. Finally I asked to see this Doberman even though they are not best suited for me. I got him anyway because I was my only chance. He is great, but still the process is too frustrating.

Goodness, come to the south. You'll have to do an application for the shelter, but my sister just adopted and did 4 meet & greets at just one shelter and 2 at another. And her pup came home with her, to a county 4 hours away, that afternoon 😊

A Personal Thank You Miss

This is one of those stories that has me tearing up from start to finish.

What a beautiful, sweet, playful boy Boston is! I’m so surprised he hasn’t gotten adopted yet. Much gratitude and love sent to all those involved with his rescue. At least the person who abandon him had the good sense to get the poor baby out of harm’s way. So sad….how many animals that are subjected to cruelty. Well, he’s not anymore! I hope he finds a forever home soon. I am saving this video in case I come across anyone looking to adopt who would match his energy and give him all the love he deserves. He’s a very special guy (well, they all are) and not going to be skipped in prayers if that helps. ❤
