Filipino cooking has something they call a "blood pudding" which is mostly just liver chunks in a blood sauce. It took me 3 bites to acclimate to the taste and texture, but honestly it was some of the best meat I've ever eaten. If it has an irony twang to it, it's probably liver. Will's definitely on to something there.

You cannot confuse dog food with offal, the quality control for bones on pet food is awful, the bone shards will tell you it's dog food long before anything else does.

Pet food is basically low quality organ meats and filler. If you like pate or potted meat or hot dogs, you would probably tolerate pet food, but it's probably not as safe as human food. The worst smelling food I have ever smelled was pickled pigs feet. Someone cracked open a jar of it and started going at it and I almost threw up. As a kid, my curiosity got me to try dog food and it wasn't that bad. I swear a lot of heavily processed human food is just a slightly higher quality pet food with better marketing.

I caught my grandpa eating cat bits once. He forgot his glasses so just grabbed "a bag of little snacks" from the cupboard and just destroyed them. Loved them so much he brought the packet over to show me so I could go out and buy some for him later. He looked so worried when I told him it was cat food. He didn't lose his mind, even til the end so I think it truly was a mistake

The way Alan is casually tucking into the pate "filet mignon" oh my god. Protect this guy at all costs.

I think the biggest difference has to be that dog food more often contains a mix of organs and bones. I don't think you would mind it too much if you're accustomed to eating liver, kidney, chitlins, etc.

This really feels like a home video of a family gathering with the continuous shots, delayed focusing, and everyone being picked up on the same mic. 14:50 especially, with the cut almost out of nowhere. I don't mean this as a negative thing, it adds a lot.

@Daniel Cook there is absolutely no problem with washing cast iron using normal soap. Only strongly alkaline detergents present an issue or leaving them wet forever. Hell you can even get away with using a dishwasher if your soap isn't super aggressive and you dry and oil them a little. Source:I've worked in multiple restaurants that went thru 500 or so cast iron pans a night.

To help sell the lie that half of them were dog food and half were people food, even though it was all dog food and it wouldnt have actually mattered who took what.

They're in a fancy house cooking dog food, this is basically a TLC show.

I used to work for a market (Ralphs) when I was a kid and there was a woman hired to give out samples of crackers to customers. She decided to make the experience better by spreading pâté on the crackers. It was only until we took out her trash that we found out she was using, yeah, you guessed it, catfood as the spread. 🤷‍♂

I remember when I smelled this in a classroom and said “this smells like dog food” and someone told me not to say that. My dog ate nicer beef than me. I feel validated now.

In 84 when I was 14 I ate an entire bag of jerky treats for dogs not knowing that's what they were. Until I apologize to my friend and told him I need to buy him more beef jerky and we both got a good laugh. A couple weeks later at one of his friends birthday parties I said a bunch of people Gaines burgers and everyone loved the hamburgers. Announcing what they where was funny and fun.
