were i came from Serbia we got wolf dogs as well its called sdd Serbian defense dog and Yugoslavian Shepherd Dog they are guard dogs basically love u love your one of the best channel out there

I have Embark tested my Tamaskan (Ayasca) who is a son of Magnus and litter brother to Lycan who I believe is the mother of your Tamaskan. His results were 48.3 German Shepherd, 34.5 Siberian Husky, 9.9 Alaskan Malamute and 7.3 Grey Wolf. His wolfiness is 12.8. He will be 12 in May and his human age came up as 90.

It would be interesting to see full reviews of each wolf mix. Similar to the one you did for your Czech and Saarloos. They're very educational and enlightening. Also, it would be helpful to include specific traits of each species. Like explaining which breed is best for protection or sport. Just an idea. Love the video!

These DNA test videos are so cool and educational! I love them so much! Definitely looking forward to more of these! I’m actually thinking of getting my mini chihuahua one of these! I would love to see if she’s purebred coming from a backyard breeder. I can’t distinguish any other breed and don’t know what characteristics she has of other breeds. Definitely very interesting! Keep up the epic videos! Btw your voice is weirdly relaxing!😂

Nichole Bird they’re actually known as toys. They can be called minis. Toy chihuahua’s are half the size of a regular chihuahua. Teacups are smaller than toys but grow to almost the same size just a bit smaller. You can actually look up toy chihuahuas if you want!

She is a beautiful dog, looks very sweet.

I would recommend being extra mindful of cancers and such based on her DNA age results. Damage to DNA and mitochondria is a suspected cause of tumor growth, so considering that and her actual age, I'd keep that in mind to give her extra attention for anything unusual feeling while grooming and petting and, of course, any changes in her senior bloodwork when she gets her check ups. Ideally it'll be nothing and you'll have many more healthy years together, but better safe than sorry

Keep up the work, your videos are amazing. Also it would be fantastic if you can make a video about your daily life living with dogs and wolf dogs.

Oh i want one! So adorable!!!

I love that we can DNA test these dogs now, so cool! I have a really lean, narrow and athletic labrador retriever that I knew wasn't purebred, but had no idea what the cross could be. Turns out he was is 70% lab, 20% golden and 10% airedale terrier, which I was not expecting, but makes sense considering his build. I just assumed I had a really long and leggy lab that might have some shepherd or something...so nice to know!

That hound has got a very kissable head! My bet is that it is 80% Lap Hound! 🐶

My best guess is German and Anatolian Shepherd but there's definitely others in there as well. Embark looks like a great DNA test kit, I'm going to try my best to save up for it but it's difficult as a college student.

I know I have just commented but you said in one of your videos that your dogs are on raw diet, maybe that's the reason why the dogs reacted badly to the dentastix. My German Shepherd cross toffee can eat grain because she was on kibble and moved to raw 5 months ago and my white German Shepherd puppy Tessa has been on raw since 8 weeks old and she can't tolerate grain at all and gets a super upset stomach and diareah if she eats treats from the pet store. She has never had grain anyway since her kibble was high quality and grain free so she ate that until she was 8 weeks. So maybe that's why she couldn't tolerate the starch or grain :). Our Tessa has to have organic dehydrated raw dog treats for training instead :). Anyways Id love to see raw feeding videos and more about what you feed your beautiful dogs! i remember our wolf dog, he was hihg percented, but he came along with our other dogs and you could walk him in the city too. Ofc, i did train her and take here everywhere so he got used to it, but he was the best big buddy! im so eagerly waiting to get another one when i can find a god, healthy line

My rescue Tamaskan, a nearly 3 year old Blufawn is 38.3% GSD, 28.2% husky, 17.8% Malamute, 8.3% gray Wolf, 6.4% Greenland sledge dog according to embark. Her great grandad was a CED so that has come up as Greenland. Her wolfiness is only 2.1% a lot lower than the wolf content. I suspect Taz was part of her lineage. She's black/grey. Her predicted weight was 21lbs more than she is. Her genetic age is 27 human years but she was only 2 and half when I did test. Very anxious dog so stress poss a factor?

Kyoshi's a beautiful tam. I have 2 tamaskans myself who have both had embark done. I'm glad that we have some breed breakdowns of some "older" tams. I agree that on paper I would definitely had thought more content. Have any of her littermates also had embark? The litter my girl is from all had embark done and it was really cool to see the variation and know which tams had more shepherd/husky/etc traits inherited!

Having been obsessed with wolves and wolf dogs since a very young age, I really really enjoy watching all of your videos about them. Because I also love cats and could never not own a cat, I don't think I'll ever be able to work up to having the expertise to own any of the breeds you talk about. There's often too much of a risk that a cat could be seen as possible prey. So I'm just going to have to admire these dogs from afar.

I can see the German shepherd in her. Waiting on these results, I kept looking at her, then looking over at my dog, and going back and forth and thinking how I recognized the shepherd in her.

My dog's Vet has an injection that is like Prednisone but doesn't have all of the side effects of such steroids. My Pom Izabella has itchy skin and this injection is very helpful and last up to six months.

It's never a good idea to assume that a dog has wolf in it. Anneka did a video where a hunter shot a wolf dog dead just because it was time for wolf hunting, and even though the dog obviously has a collar and was well trained and also domesticated, the hunter didn't look before it shot, and the poor white beautiful wolf dog was shot dead. So please never assume that a dog has wolf in it, or is a wolf.

I thought that the wolves that were used in the making of Saarloos Wolfdog were the North American Grey Wolf/Northwestern Wolf/Northern Timber Wolf/Alaskan Timber Wolf/Canadian Timber Wolf/MacKenzie Valley Wolf (Canis Lupus Occidentalis) instead of European Wolf (Canis Lupus Lupus).

DNA tests give chances of probability. Testing with another company or even the same company is likely to give a different result. (use a different name and address)

She is gorgeous, I am very surprised at the results as well.

My mutt has a black lab head and a stocky basset hound body, with stubby turned-out feet. Her Embark test showed she was about 24% Chow. She also had a high percentage of boxer. Black lab and golden lab were further dow. She has over 2% ancient wolf DNA.

thank you so much I had to put my shepherd to sleep when he had a seizure that came out of nowhere it lasted the entire car ride to the emergency vet I didn't want another heart ache again so I swore I would never get another german shepherd although I love them knowing I can test a new puppy for pre existing conditions gives me hope that in time I will be ready again

When I was looking for my lovely Saarloos Wolfdog, I met someone with a Tamaskan and my understanding was always that they were a German Shepherd and Husky mix, so it does not surprise me to hear your dna results ;)

I love your videos, but most of all I admire your passion towards wolves,fighting for animal rights... I'm a huge wolf lover myself, also I'm vegan. So, I know how difficult it is to be a role model in a world like this. I am an admin in wolf organisation here in my country, which fights to protect wolves in nature and we are building a shelter for czechoslovakian wolfdogs and breeds like this. My first dog was a samoyed, now I have a swiss shepherd and next week my husky puppy will be born

I’ve owned two Alaskan Malamutes, spent time with both breeders. Malamute’s are not aloof, they are very pack oriented. They are the type of dog that will be by your feet no matter what you’re doing around the house.

She looks like an Iberian wolf. Very cute

She acts exactly like my german shepherd, the side markings on her face (the little birth marks of the side) looks so similar!

how very interesting, I'd like to test my Japanese Spitz but I think I'll find the typical results, that he is a mix of a few spitz breeds, german spitz etc...but with the northern breeds it is very interesting to find out what they are.

I hope you still love her just as much. :)
