thanks Ellen. we have a ywo yr old mini schnauzer that suffered an spinal injury (we/vets are assuming) while playing yesterday and can't move her back legs at all, nor can she pee on her own. Tomorrow she gets an MRI and hopefully we'll know for sure what hapoened and if she can be treated. Your video is a great comparison and gives us a reminder how a human design may (or not) be attractive to a dog. hopefully we won't have to buy one at all.

I'm sorry to hear. You have some big decisions to make. The good news is that if surgery is indicated as being helpful, the success rates are very good these days. I've seen it work. Expensive, but often worth it with a young dog.

It depends where you live in the US, but the costs are several times more than that. Best of luck dealing with this. Here the surgery would be around twice the cost of the MRI and the MRI is 4 to 5 times your MRI cost.
