lucky you. because customers can report you to ebay for doing this, and it’s against their TOS. i had a phone conversation with multiple ebay employees about it. they don’t allow it, as amazon is their largest competitor. they told me they have suspended people’s selling privileges for it, and even terminated accounts.

My mom once bought something from Amazon and it came inside a Walmart box. We thought it was suspicious but my mom was just happy that she got her item in tact 🤣

Closing in on my first 30 days of dropshipping and just broke 11k in sales. Over 250 transactions and nobody has questioned the packaging. Also a big plus is amazon's customer service. I had a customer who had their package stolen and amazon sent a replacement with same day shipping completely free of charge. Turned a bad situation into a positive feedback for me.

My Life by Julia i report every seller who takes my contact info outside of ebay and is entering it into the amazon accounts. that’s a privacy and security violation. i care that people are trying to make money off unsuspecting people, and doing NO work whatsoever in order to earn it. gross scammy behavior.

Thanks so much for creating this "perspective" video. This question inhibited me from starting my own business, but after watching this and a few of your other videos I am going to start building my business. Thanks Paul! Edit: The PDF is a cherry on top.

This is a brilliant video. I'm not overly concerned about customer complaining about the package but I am very concerned about customers seeing the invoice with the price I paid. So far, I've sold 60 items (I'm a beginning) and I've not had a single complaint... yet! I'm waiting for Nike to respond to me as I asked them whether an invoice is included within the parcel and if so, whether it shows the price. This concerned me from day 1, particularly when you're thinking of all the "what ifs?" etc.

I feel the same. Just today I noticed Amazon (in Canada) is sending the invoice with price in the package. (my 1st time trying them) I called to have it removed, fingers crossed it worked, or I might have some explaining to do lol. And being newer to this, worries me so early in the game.

On my eBay listing under shipping I put that all items are shipped using Amazons Multi Channel Fulfillment service so they know ahead of time to try to avoid any issues they might have when their package arrives

I can only imagine this will reduce your sales. If I knew the item came from a different company, I would be very suspicious and I'll actually take the time to search said company to see if I can get it cheaper. I'd take that out if I was you, I think it's really hindering your chances of more sales. Just an opinion. :)

I have bought from an Amazon drop-shipper and the first thing I did was go onto the Amazon site and check the price. I didn't make a complaint and gave a good review because it was still cheaper than the local store. It was an item that wasn't a lot of money and I hadn't checked Amazon but after that, I bought the item directly from Amazon.

I've never understood why anyone who buys stuff off of eBay would be angry if it came in a box that didn't have "eBay" slapped on it. Do they think eBay is a brick and mortar store or something? As long as I got what I ordered I could care less what box it is in! Thanks for the PDF, and you have a new subscriber!

um NO. we have every right to be annoyed. you DONT have permission to take someone’s personal information OUTSIDE of ebay, and enter it into your amazon account or any other account. that is a privacy and security violation, and it’s unethical. dropshipping is okay when the customer knows youre doing it, and gives you authorization to move their information. doing it without such..... despicably scammy and immoral.

also ebay specifically told me over the phone that dropshipping from amazon to ebay is not allowed. it’s a violation of their TOS, and people can lose their sellers privileges if they get reported for it.

Great idea!

Amazon seller accounts allow you to list your products on other platforms such as Ebay. That said, how would an ebay customer know if you were an amazon seller stocking product in their Warehouse, or a dropshipper?

I think unless you use a gift option you will not receive any paperwork inside the box They do that because you technically will have the information online and save money on paper

Why include a gift receipt? Would it be better to send without one?

Yes you are correct. This is a bit of an older video. We used to recommend gift receipts because Amazon USED to include invoices in the box. Now they don't.

Thats crazy, i buy ton a stuff from amazon, I never saw a receipt on an amazon package ever. 8:00 - lmao from a dropshipper to a dropshipper. Customer wouldn't care, they would just assume you orignally bought the product from home depot and now don't want the item for what ever the reason is and now just selling it on eBay.

For one, packaging isnt a problem. Id be surprised if a customer was concerned about the packaging from different companies other than ebay. As an online reseller, packaging is recycled whether its been from Amazon, walmart, chewy, etc. Every reseller who has their own inventory does this to save money on supplies.

ughmuggles i was concerned about the packaging. because i don’t order from amazon and i NEVER gave anyone permission to take my address out of ebay and put it into their amazon accounts. ebay agreed that it is unethical, and that it is not allowed from amazon specifically (their biggest competitor). i reported every single seller who has done this. if they asked me for permission to move my information, maybe that’d be different. but they did not. they violated my privacy rights, without authorization. NOT okay.

This has actually been the "rule" for a while now. It's one of those poorly written rules because it says "it is not allowed" but they still allow it (eBay knows we are dropshipping yet they haven't banned us for it). Instead, eBay says they are throttling our accounts, which we've known for over a year now. But they won't throttle your account if (1) the don't know you dropship (and if you do what I teach in the course they won't know) or (2) you sell products other people don't sell unless they also dropship (which is why I stress using other suppliers that are uncommon). My team has done a ton of testing around this and the course went through some major updates pretty fast as a result.

I just had one question: if I am drop shipping a product and selling it at a markup (like all drop shippers do), should I offer returns? I just want my shit man ! LOL- I don't care if it comes in a pickle jar !!! I used to get all kinds of stuff and I didn't even look . Hell I ordered a girlfriend once and she came in the wrong box ! Sold my first EBAY drop ship today !! . I had been selling ebay used stuff before but it is a bit of a PITA . A strange thing happened today though . I am a dealer for a wholesaler and got the "special " secret pricing .Had to effen jump through hoops to do this so I could drop ship their shit . I go on Amazon and (the selling) products are BELOW MY BUYING price !! WTF ? LOL ! Thanks to all of your help I was able to make that sale . Keep up the GREAT work ! PS- the product I sold was just something I sniped off of the big 3 not from my wholesaler .

A little bit. It helps to start a legal business entity here in the USA

When I was in college and I finished a class, I'd sell my used textbooks on Amazon and eBay, and honestly, I used whatever box I could find. I went dumpster diving for cardboard boxes and then just crossed out the store's name or ripped off any shipping labels. I've never thought that the outside of the box matters, because I was one of those people who used packages from anywhere I could get them.

For the billing you have to use your credit card address. For shipping, use buyer's shipping address

Hi Paul, If customer orders from eBay arrive in an Amazon or Walmart box, yes, they might assume that the eBay seller saves and reuses these boxes. However, They might realize that the product might not have come from eBay because of the shipping label. What do you say if they complain about this? Thanks, Paul.

I have sold over 50,000 products online. Out of all of those transactions, maybe 100 buyers have sent me a message asking me why their item came in a different box (I think it's actually much less than 100). Out of those 100 people, only about 50 followed up after I sent them an explanation and continued to complain about it. The problem with Walmart is not the box,but rather the invoice,they might not include it sometimes,but other times they do and customers complain about them since they can see the original price,how do you deal with this? I watched a video(which you actually commented on) and the "solution" provided is sending the product as a wedding gift;however,don't walmart restrict you from creating a Registry so many times? or freeze your account for creating too many Registries ,and that can be considered suspicious for them? You just explain to the seller you use Amazon Warehousing to store your stock and as such amazon ship using their packaging

Paul, did you do dropshipping for amazon customers as well, they complaint more about the boxes that come from other marketplaces? Or its the same 1%? How long have you doing dropshipping on amazon and wich market places do you use for amazon?

I just started dropshipping on AZ! I haven't had any complaints from customers yet

I noticed something interesting today. I had to cancel a order because "an issue with the buyers address" and PayPal did not keep their .30 they take on top of the percentage like they use to.

Sorry if this has been asked- what happens when a customer returns an item. Doesn't the payment go to you?...and then you return it ? How do you know if they returned?

Returns for Dropshipping are super simple. You just go to your supplier's website (like Walmart), tell me you want to return the item and they'll give you a prepaid return label. You then send that label to the buyer and they'll send the item back to the supplier. This video explains it well: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qp9lpZmum6enYKg.html

I now always check first if I can get the item on Amazon before I buy on eBay to avoid shipping charges when I know I can get it for a few dollars less with Prime.

I also think that most people do not mind because they have money in their paypal account but they can't use it on amazon unless they get paypal debit card which most people don't.

Hello Paul and everyone else in the comments!.... how do you deal with returns? lets say a customer wants to return an item ..will they contact me as the seller or go straight to the shipper per say Walmart? will this cause an issue with refunding? and the difference in price? I appreciate your help.

Walmart will give you a return label you can then give to the buyer. The item goes right back to Walmart
