You need to seriously adjust the air/fuel mixture. Its SUPER rich. You need to turn the scren on the bottom IN to lean the idle mixture which will raise the idle also. One you reach max RPM doing that, adjust idle speed screw to the desired idle. it'll run MUICH better

Wear some gear too... otherwise you'll end up turning yourself in to hamburger... Been there, done that... took most of the skin from my wrist to my elbow off... took weeks digging out all the sand and dirt embedded...

Thanks a million, this fixed my problem, bike wouldn't idle for too long, it was just bog slowly unless I was giving it throttle

When your choke is "closed" that means it's on, if the choke is "open" that means it's off.

Adjust the pilot fuel screw if it's bogging or adjust needle clip positon! Idle does nothing to stop bogging all your doing is bypassing the pilot circuit and just lifting the slide. Do some research on how carbs work then I'll take ya seriously @exotic motion

It sounds good.& another thing is in those cases is that fiber glass repairing will be your best friend then. Especially for those reasons alone then bro. It'll save ya more money that way to.

I found on my bike the factory or dealer installed two extra gaskets between the carb and intake and the needle for the throttle need to be adjusted and then the idle screw a bit and now it starts and runs like a dream.

Use back brake to bring bike down during wheeleys. Touch the rear brake to bring the front down

To fix any issue. Take carb apart. Everything. Clean or replace the pilot. Clean the pilot seat. In my case I Terrill it bigger but don’t drill to the ventry. Less chances to get clogged. Then reset the float. Clean the main even if it looks clean. And put it back in. Also use compress air. On the mixture screw take it out and compress air. Mine had shards from factory now it works butifully. Also replaced the screwes with hand twist instead of flat head screw

a 4 stroke is hard to wheelie. i used to practice all the time. one time out of the blue i wheelied it across the field...and nobody saw smh. idk how i did it.

Standard on carbs starting point tighten mixture screw than blackout 1.5 turns and go from there

When you adjust the idle screw always twist the throttle back, screwing in the idle screw with the slide down just causes the screw to dig into the slide

DM, so pull the throttle to around 1/4 or so? Sounds like a great tip, if true, and if true, my slide should be dust at this point. Does this issue damage the slide or the idle screw? Both?

Hey my Chinese bike starts only when I get carb spray with it and then later bogs our after 30 seconds max. Cleaned the carb new spark new fuel line. What should I try next? Haven’t used it in maybe 5 years

Maybe I am wrong.... but you imply from the start that you open the choke to start your bike and I think you mean with your choke on and you are mixing up open and closed versus on and off.

My 2018 SSR 150 keeps bogging. I can't get it to idle right either for you when I get it to run right it has a problem idling. I've cleaned the carburetor I've changed the Jets a size up and also a size down doesn't really make much of a difference. Should I just replace the carburetor?

i have the same bike. Mine is an XMOTO anyway after i bought it i simpley replaced the cab and the bike was perfect since then i have crashed and i put the bike up for a while. thought about selling it but i reconsidered cause i like the bike so much and i wanted to learn to rebuild it. my issue is I got a new carb and it idles fine and its not to rich or lean its stoick (if thats the word) balanced but when I go into gear and accelerate the bike bogs. i have turned and twisted every screw and its still the same. my car engine blew and this could be my only transportation i have turned it street legal (i recommend is so nice) anyway im wondering if you have any shimes for me...gems to help me out. thanks

What do you mean like just half throttle wide open or accelerate to full throttle and let off over and over again?

My wpb 110 keeps bogging out, complete loss of power. Also happens when used in wet :/

My bike started running rough today, will not hold a steady idle or rpm even at about 1/4 + throttle, but accelerates like a banshi if I get on the gas. I changed out spark plug, checked air filter...shrugs...

Is this a coolster 125cc?

You should re Jett it and I’m not sure if adjusting the air screw would make a difference my bike doing the same thing I just don’t want to take the tank off my bike to get to it (that’s the only way to get to it on my bike) the air screw is the smaller screw next to the idle screw

Whenever buying a chinese bike, I recommend changing the oil IMMEDIATELY before the first start. The oil they use in the factory over in China where it was "test ran" is basically water. Replace with a good conventional oil for break in, then run either semi synthetic or fully synthetic oil afterwards

I tried a nibbi carb. I have an ssr sr150 it keeps bogging out. But I don't know how to adjust everything else and it's a pian cause I have to take everything off just to change something other than the idle and fuel screw. So I put the stock one back on cause it worked better. It's hard to find a 28mm carb

I have an Apollo 250 RX. It bogs no matter how I adjust the carb choke on or off. Bought a new carb and still bogs so at this point I don't think its the carb. No that spark plug either unless its something electrical. Any suggestions would be great and thanks!

FuckThaOpps So go behind the horn and there’s a cylinder looking black thing with two green wires attached. Make sure the terminals aren’t corroded and it’s on good.

i just got my dirtbike 2 days ago and when i rode it for a bit the exhaust pipe got cherry red is that really bad its cold outside and it was dark i didn't turn on the choke at all and i didn't let it heat up
