Another good video. The studies for different diagnoses are appreciated. I see bupropion got it’s second R back in it’s pronunciation though ;). I do personally like to reach for bupropion first if anxiety isn’t significant, due to less weight gain and sexual side effects, as well as possible help with decreasing food cravings, nicotine/illicit drug use that a large amount of my population tends to have at least one of these cooccurring issues. Great video. I just started wellbutrin a few days ago, my doctor added it on to Lexapro. Lexapro has been great for my anxiety but made me more sluggish and depressed. In the initial days Wellbutrin definitely has affected my anxiety in a negative way, but I'm sticking with it. Really want this combo to work

I’m on 150XL and it is helping me a lot with my anxiety and depression. It’s really helpful for me. It have only been on it for two weeks. I hope it sustains

Wellbutrin has been absolutely **terrible** for my anxiety. It makes me into a live wire, constantly fidgety, can’t sit still, constantly humming or growling to self soothe and makes me make weird faces. I’m getting tf off this.

it's saved my life. I know its cliché and there was once a time i read similar comments and thought "they're so lucky". I had tried everything under the sun and not seen a difference or felt numb. This medicine helped me straight away turn my depression and anxiety dials down. I still feel emotions though, still have bad days. But i am always ok, always able to cope with what's going on, compared to before when every min was painful. I have ADHD though and also take stimulants. Both have been such a turning point for me.

Interesting because I also have OCD but it helped me anyway.

Downregulation and desensitisation combined with increased availability in the synapse is probably going to have a stabilising effect. SSRIs have emotional and physical numbing properties essentially acting as minor tranquilisers. Cutting out the lows but also removing the highs. The same idea can arch to the properties of reuptake inhibitors in general. I do think this would be dosage dependant with less 'stabilising' and different effects at higher dosages. Long term and chronic use is different from the short term and treatment emergent effects. I think it can increase extroversion so it could potentially change the dynamics of the flight, fight, freeze response. Since depression correlates with anxiety, if you can treat depression it could also be the case that you correlate to treating the anxiety by virtue and irrespective of the mechanism of action

Have been hesitant to tx. Sexual side effects of SSRI in anxious pt. With Bupropion augmentation based on previous training. Might me worth a revisit as we have more blinds feeling the elephant and communicating 😊.

The mechanisms is different despite the PEA skeleton, but amph is basically the flagship for "causing anxiety," and yet withdrawal is noted for increased anxiety. Maybe it could do by different mechs. Or in some persons but not others. Or anxiety is too loosely defined to differentiate iatrogenic vs withdrawal "types" of anxiety. I have diagnosed SAD and GAD, Bupropion helps with my anxiety, it actually gives me a little bit more self esteem. Was on Sertraline before and it felt terrible, it just blunted my emotions. It helps with anxiety in a different way than SSRIs - at least in my own subjective experiance.

It absolutely killed me. Anxiety and manic depressive episodes quite regularly

It's been amazing for me so far... But I'm waiting to see if the edginess wears off after I've been in it for a while. The energy is great, but the edginess not so much. I'm sure it's manageable and it's certainly better than where i was... Which was very bad, even with my lithium and lamictal... It's overall been a great trio treatment... Just some nuances to get used to.

Content wildly good. Audio quality wildly bad.

Iv only been on it for 2 days but im feeling well. I have anxiety and this medication keeps my heart from racing.

Omg Wellbutrin saved my life. At my peak depression/kinda anxiety I was in the hospital for suicidal ideation. They gave me this med after trying so many other meds. After like 3ish days I felt so much better. I stopped taking it about a month and a half ago because I was doing really good. But I’m now going through a REALLY BAD anxiety patch panic attacks, constant thoughts. My parents, psychiatrist and me think that Wellbutrin really did help my anxiety. I’m starting it again today but this really is like a last hope for me. This med saved my life before and I hope it saves me again. I DEFINITELY do believe this med helps with anxiety but it also can cause it❤❤

@@brettkorenak3721 I’m still re adjusting to it! I’m noticing lights are really bothering me and my vision has been a bit blurry and I’ve been more irritable. I’ve only been on it for a week though! I do remember sorta feeling this way when I first started it. Just know your anxiety MIGHT get way worse before it gets better. Give it at least a couple weeks. This is the only med I truly trust I’ve been on so many others! Goodluck and you can always ask me questions when I was on it before it helped me so so much!

@@IAmLegend9291 It’s going. I’m 2 weeks on the medication and I feel a bit better but I’m still adjusting, it’s my second time on the medication so it will take longer. I’m definitely irritable and I like can never sit still and my senses are heightened which is common starting meds. Gonna give it 2 more weeks and see where we are at. Don’t let this scare you Wellbutrin saved my life before and it’s the only med I have EVER tolerated. If you need anything else just ask me and I’ll respond as so soon as possible ❤️❤️

I take 150mg Zoloft and Wellbutrin XL long term for post-treated OCD, MDD, GAD. It’s great. When I was on lower Zoloft dosing Wellbutrin was too much for me. Now at higher dosing it balances out so well.

Can't get Wellbutrin here in Australia. I have to get Zyban instead. It's crazy, Bupropion is sooo much better than SSRI's. I felt like a zombie on SSRI's. Bupropion is a much cleaner drug.

I've been on the escitalopram (lexapro) + buproprion combo. 150mg slow release buproprion and 10mg escitalopram, the buproprion has helped a lot with reducing some side effects of the lexapro.

@@belencita9526 yeah Lexapro definitely made me gain a little bit. I've swapped to Lexapro 10mg at Night and the 150mg Slow release Buproprion in the morning. Helps slightly more with appetite suppressing and sexual side effects imo.

I watched your video on anti-psychotics and I was wondering what medication you would recommend for direct insomnia instead of quetiapine
