Does using ice cubes to unclog an RV sewer tank really work?

You hear it often -- empty your RV's sewer (black) tank, drop in a bunch of ice cubes, then drive around so they bang against the sides of the tank, unclogging them and helping your level gauges work again. Does this really work? RVtravel.com technical adviser Dave Solberg has the scoop.
The product he mentions, Tank Blaster, is available at Amazon.com: amzn.to/3zNeri9

My wife and I were full time RVers for over 2 1/2 years. Here is what we did to prevent a clogged black tank. Buy a small trashcan with a lid. Line the trashcan with a plastic bag. Throw all your toilet paper in the can instead of flushing it. There is no smell. You'll be able to buy and use any toilet paper you want. And you won't have a clogged black tank. It's also easier when dumping and flushing your tank too.
