If someone was looking at doing a new improvement mod for the improved default TBM, I'd like to see them turn it into a 940 or 960 with autothrottle and advanced VNAV. Perhaps something for Marwan to get his teeth into when the final bugs in the already excellent HJet has been ironed out?

TBM-940. That's what I'm waiting for. Auto-throttle.

vnav will obey the higher of the two values set. If your ALT is >VNAV profile, it will obey the ALT set. If the VNAV is > than ALT select, it will obey VNAV, which is what you want.

For the throttle issue you can make a blank button map configuration in msfs and only assign the throttle levers and all of the other buttons you want can be simultaneously mapped within spad

Nice landing! This plane is a fun one; easy to takeoff and land. A pleasure to fly and use the updated G3000 with the VNAV. You are correct, I don't see a point in the mod now. The enhanced version allows for split screens but currently does not play well with my GTN 750. The G5000 is a bit more sophisticated which is on the Citation and it capable of more RNAV landings. I couldn't get the TBM930 to do a RNAV approach at an airport (can't remember which one) but was able to with the Citation. Thought there was a bug but Working Title told me that the 930 was unable to do that peculiar landing as it required radar. This is how accurate it is. Impressive.

I turn on altitude to range for decent, it always works perfectly. Never had much luck with Vnav.

I've never had the TOD stutter and disappear like that. That is positively bizarre, some weird hardware or SPAD interaction maybe? I have had it not calculate it initially though, I've found just setting the WP I want to descent to as a AT constraint fixes it no problems.

the question is, without improvement mod, can we finally use the sunshield? it something neglected and many don't care, but for me its an important peace when flying at day time. No its not just for the looks, its actually useful to block the sun.

Is there a way to make the altitude reference incr/decr by 1000s instead of 100s?

Side note , Nice to have a visible co-pilot with the improvement mod , unless there's another way to populate the seating ?

Since update 12 I have a bug on the pilot door which once opened still shows closed from outside view. Also front little cargo door non longer opens. Anybody has the same challenge? Thanks for the great video, as usual !!

Nice video, as always. I really like this plane, but I have the impression that it is not very realistic. Is it normal that it floats over the runway at almost every landing? I think I will patiently wait for the new mod 😊

Man, I gotta say that your videos are awesome!!! I'm a fan!! You have gotten me through a lot of cardio sessions at the gym, so thank you!!! I have a couple of questions for you. What headset/mic are you using specifically with programs like Pilotedge, Pilot2atc and Vatsim? Also, are you using track IR with multiple monitors? I'm in VR and I love it but I'm looking to trying the MSFS world outside of VR. I plan on getting Track IR5 and using a 3 monitor setup for the main views. I'm also thinking to get 2, 22"touch screen monitors that i will run air manager on with 2 knobster controls for more of a tactile feel. Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated and please keeping making the great, inspiring and informative content. Take great care and stay healthy, safe and blessed.

The TBM is one of the coolest lanes ever!

Could it be that your waypoints altitude were all at 16,000? That's why you didn't start descending?

Xbox: I haven’t flown this plane since the latest update, now when I use the Xbox controller to throttle up or down it goes all the way to 100% or down to idle….is there a way to fix this?

I didn't realize you could open the doors in the default 930 without a mod

Throttle still stuck in idle, missing the 'charts' option, and turn on ground not as good as with mod.

When wind indicator selected (not selected in this video), it shows "No wind data" while on the ground, even when the wind socks are horizontal, ie 10 to 15 knots. It only shows once airborne.

It's a ground vs flight vector calculation, based on GPS coordinates, airspeed and heading. Can't be done on the ground.

@@random99999 I figured it out the way you just described it the next day after putting my old "aviation experience" hat back on 🙂. It needs all those inputs you mentioned to be computed, and can only be done once airborne. Thanks for the reply.

You will get the latest version as it installs. Expect a long install time depending on your internet speed.

the impruved mod is already there, you can find it on youtube and githab he needs to fix the flight model. the fuel consumption is not correct, wornings do not work, more small bugs

Your videos are always informative and helpful, and I thank you for them. I do, however, have a complaint. It doesn’t apply solely to you, but to countless other KZreadrs, and I bring it up here only because this is the most recent vid I’ve watched and I’m still grinding my teeth. I propose a moratorium - not permanent, just for maybe the next million years or so - on the overused (to put it mildly) and utterly useless phrase “you guys.” Omigod, you’re probably asking, whatever might we replace this ubiquitous piece of verbal trash with? Get ready for it, because I know this is going to blow your guys’s mind. I suggest “you.” Just plain “you.” All you need; says it all. I feel much better now. Thank you.

Finally somebody worrying about the important things in life

FYI, in a real plane if you went from a +2500 ft climb to zero in >500 feet, your passengers would experience zero g. That is quite uncomfortable. On an instrument plan, the vertical speed shouldn't exceed 1,500fpm in the last 1,000 ft from reaching altitude.

There is an issue with the reg for the sim expo

Your review is fascinating and the renewed version of TBM930 seems charming. But I don't manage to fly it AND I NEED YOUR HELP. In a cold & dark TBM930 my mouse does not manage to raise the crash-bar that locks the battery & generator. Only a fruitless VIBRATION. Similarly, when I pick a hot plane with the throttle already in the left side, the mouse cannot move it. Only a vibration ! (and No response to my exterior throttle). Who can rescue me and enable me fly this plane ? I run other msfs2020 planes (like cessna 208B) smoothly, under windows11, and dont have any other TBM related mods in my community folder. THANK YOU in advance. Gadi.

Is there a reason you don't use the TOGA button on throttle for takeoff?

I might be mistaken, but since the TBM 930 does not have auto throttle, I don't think it's useful for takeoff. I've seen somewhere that in the real aircraft and POH it's just called GA(go around) button, and not TOGA like incorrectly shown in the sim. It's supposed to just set the autopilot mode for go around, but as expected, it cannot control the throttle. Not sure if this is accurate but makes sense. Hopefully someone knows how it works and can confirm for us.
