Does the sky have to be blue and the leaves on the trees green?
Ойын-сауық
In this video I encourage you to think outside the box. Ignoring what we see and are conditioned to expect colours to be I take a split complementary colour scheme and have fun ignoring traditional conventions. This piece is painted in Krita 5

Always appreciate a true artistic mind. I am a firm believing in viewing the world from the colors we feel from within 🙃

Thanks Steve, really enjoyed your toturials. I did not use Krita a lot. But now I like to do some practices. Love Rebelle5. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Hi Jan, thanks for the comments. A big hello from the UK
Thanks very much for making these videos. They have been a great help . I am a very keen photographer so it has been hard for me to get away from the leaves are green and the sky is blue idea. Your videos have given me the courage to experiment with many different concepts

Fantastic video Steve and really inspirational. I’m red/green colorblind and it drives me crazy sometimes trying to get colors “right”. You’ve freed my mind into thinking outside the confines of “normal”. Much appreciated.

I really enjoyed this, Steve. I like alternative color schemes to. I have a tendency to go overboard, but this result of yours is really nice looking.

Hi Richard, I’ve listened to this song, it’s not the version I remember, but how sad is the ending?
Love your videos!! Beautiful palette! Did you find it difficult switching to Krita 5? I'm so tempted, but still nervous to take the plunge. Maybe it's not that drastically different?

Hi, I didn’t find it difficult at all. The upgrade kept most of my settings, although I did have to recreate all my brush tabs.
Was thinging of drawing a picture, traceing my own drawing using tracing paper to transfur to thick watercolor paper, meaning its means drawing it 3 times, is that a good or bad idea.

Hi Nigel, it’s a good idea, keep the lines light though if you intend to painting watercolour
