I was with my ex narcissist for 4 years, lived together for 2 years. I helped raise his kids, family vacations etc. I didn't realize he was a narcissist at the time. 2 weeks after breakup, he started dating a new woman. He told me he was going to marry her after 6 weeks, and he already bought her a ring (of course, it's the ring I said I wanted). They just got engaged in paris last week. Exactly 4 months post breakup 💔. I would never want him back, but the heartbreak is devastating. I'd like to see karma come around on him!! I've learned so much from videos like this!! It's sick how they all operate in the same way.

It makes me feel sorry for you 😞 Yes, it's like there's a manual for narcissists. The only thing I can tell you, as someone that is almost 60 years old, is that they get worse with age and it borders on dementia. It becomes more and more difficult for them to find new supply; they have less and less patience. Even their family starts running away from them. Maybe that is similar to Karma. I hope my English was OK, my usual language is French.

35 years I was a best friend to one...telling her the truth about what/who she is and I won't accept being garbage any longer...was the end of that friendship. She couldn't even respond...just went silent and it's a year now and still..nothing. So yes, they do leave when you hit their core with shame. Game over!

They can’t do work on themselves , they are incapable. The longer time span you give them the worse their abusive behaviour becomes. They are an illusion and through that illusion they mirror you therefore who you truly fell in love with was you and who you are ! Pity them and walk away. Once you do this , you will then slowly start to recognise the confusion of how you had once thought you had loved them Once you start healing you’ll realise this 👍 Sent from Manchester UK

Mine went ghost for 10 months then unblocked me recently. I think she's hoping for me to reach out to her so she can get an ego boost then ghost me again. But never again. I'm still getting over the trauma bond over a year later, but my focus is leveling up and making her regret her choices forever

It will be at their convenience brace yourself it will happen I left it as "thank you for the insight, I've applied to read psychology with the open university thanks to my experience with you. Good luck with your new fella" a fiancé and a baby later she forgot any negatives from our time together and thought I'd be stupid enough to let her back in. I hope when it comes you are prepared to deal with it as the comedy it is. Stay strong

I have been thankfully away from my covert narcissist since 2.26.24 and it has been great. The peace and quiet is nice. Lets say he somehow didn't appreciate my complete discard of him and I received the laughable response of "I'm not the one who changed you are." My reply was Yes i know, just to completely not engage. Then i had an ah ha moment, you know he is absolutely right this time, in that I wanted a relationship where i am loved and treated as an equal not his slave. I changed because i wanted more and better for myself, to bad he will be missing out on all of my awesomeness.

Almost 2 yrs. of peace..Spotted him in my town last summer but acted like i didn't see him and went on my way.. Spotted him sporadically on my street..ignored him...I realized after the second time that this guy is spying on me and my family.. I had changed my phone number, blocked him everywhere, live in a different town, and have 0 contact with anyone we knew together...yet there he is. A few weeks aago he's on my front porch, I ignored him and went in through a different entrance, he finally left... realized he's escalating...last weekend there he is on Friday pasing by and Saturday he is accosting my teenager as he walks down the street..my son ignored him so he'd turn his vehicle around move up ahead of my son and try to engage him ag..he did this a few times and not getting any response he finally left.. (by the way hedoes not live near us..this is out of his way) so I called the police, explained my problem, they called him and told him not to contact us and if I called back he would be charged with harassment..whether that works or not is left to be seen...very sick idividual

I just kept silent and never responded... 15 months later... seems like they understand... or not. But, the best feeling is the sense that I have reclaimed a sense of self in my toyal silence. Really worth holding out. Courage! And don't feel guilt...

If someone offered me a million dollars, I honest to God, would not meet up or talk to that piece of trash. He used me, betrayed me, manipulated me and attempted to break me down to nothing. 4 years of that insanity was enough. I've broken that trauma bond & will continue weekly therapy to work through the traumatic events he gave me.I will recover, but he will always be a sadistic monster.

2.5 years ago my partner of 11.5 years suddenly dumped me & went with another woman. We had limited text contact & then our paths crossed in December. We met for coffee in January & the connection & attraction was strong on both sides. I told him what the break up had been like for me & was hoping for closure but it never came as he didn’t say anything about himself. Out of the blue, 2 weeks ago he sent me a birthday card & texted me. I thought things were looking up & this was a chance to rekindle the relationship. More fool me. 2 days ago I spoke to his Dad for the 1st time since Christmas & he told me that my ex got engaged 2 weeks ago, same time as my birthday, to the one he’d left me for. Sounds classic. It’s heartbreaking.

I truly like your explanation! Some of the points you brought out resonate to me. It is not about that I like to hear what I want to; nevertheless, if feel encouraged by what that have been said my heart pushes to be grateful. The Almighty is first for sure in my healing process, and I do appreciate all the support of you and others. I just think sometime people is like of empathy because a person who is trying to heal from trauma, and being hear sometimes listening some negative comments could be like daily a healing process. It is like a person has a wound, and another person hits him in the wounds. This is an one going sweet and bitter, it's really required a strong self-esteem and courage to support all of that. Therefore, I do accept good and bad to be grounded, and giving thanks would never enough ❤💯❗.

They conditioned you, or atleast try to and before you know it, your caught in a web of confusion. Annie, the hair stylist did a fab job with that color. Be strong guys, listen to their words, pay attention. Say NO if you can. They actually tell you their ridiculous thoughts and show you their qualities.

What if she left all of her stuff here, deserted with no word of it to me and then blocked me on everything...phone FB etc....she can't on email because we had already developed contacts there a few times. She's done this twice, however, she sent me an email June 10 th after leaving Aprill 22nd to move on and it's over blah blah blah email. She still has me blocked now. I stopped emailing her or trying to contact her 2 1/2 weeks ago. I just dead stopped. Now what do I expect? I could use some help here. I do want her back especially knowing what I do now. This whole time has sucked for me. This is the second time she has done this since November.
