Hope Akai supports the Ren for a looooooooong time,... An MPC 60 still works in 2023,...but it not driven by a computer, but i love the MPC Ren and it has the looks of a real vintage MPC,.. Like the 3000 and 2000 XL,5000, 2500..Love peace to ya´ man

Does the audio card still work in the Ren with the newest macOS? The Ren doesn’t show up in audio options, and I can’t find how to load the 2.12 driver

Is the MPC ren also a Stand Alone????

On Pc everything still works but one thing, and Driver works with win 11. The first version of 2.11 there were a lot of glitches with Qlinks in certain parameters but the 2.11.3 up date fixed that & it's back to working smooth. The only thing not working & stop working since version 2.10 is pad perform . I'm guessing because of the changes they started to make in pad perform in 2.10 and of course again in 2.11, it seems the ren needs a firmware update to make it right in that department . The workaround is to not ever open pad perform on Ren & just use the software to make settings change for pad perform ( in main window) .... Warning !!! If you forget & open pad perform and save a project when u open it again all hell breaks loose on the track u used pad perform on . Side note..... I can only confirm the pad perform bug only happens with tracks with samples. As I don't used pad perform with plug-in instruments. ( Either way the menu won't line up properly as they have changed it)

Fun fact...with an all in one touch screen computer your ren will be better than the x be cuz it works with touch screens

@@hypebeastdad yep so now that you can use the latest software with the ren you have the bigger screen if you use a touch screen and you basically doing the same thing

Hey I have a question .so I have a mpc renaissance and I want to use a turntable to sample, but on the sample record screen I can’t find the external option on ‘imput’ .😮

there is an input selector switch and knob at the top and you have to turn it for input and move the selector switch to phono

akai sent me an email about this and confirmed it doesnt work and wont be in the the future. This along with the og mpc studio silver and black is considered a legacy product.
