If we do it'll be non canon so it'll just be for this route/universe or even Timeline if they want to go that route as DMC 2 novel confirms multiple timelines exist. Even the reboot was confirmed to be one of them via an interview. I'll send Amaz the details on it.

The new clothing design looks great, it has elements from all his outfits that actually work together and fit right in with the current times, nexto cyberpunk and castlevania. Him not having ebony and ivory is good also, now we get see his relationship with Goldstein.

I do really like the design but i do agree on you on dante should have something like that novel outfit. But who knows maybe he will wear a shirt and a black trenchcoat at the beginning of season 1 before his base look. I guess we have to wait and see. Anyways, I'm personally really hyped for this show.

Man the new DMC anime looks amazing tbh and I'm excited for Nero and Vergil i hope they're in the anime ,it's going to be absolutely amazing

Me too! I'm sure Vergil will show up early. Most likely in season 1 already since he was mentioned in previous interviews by Adi, but for Nero...that boi is definitely in the later seasons 😂

Apparently, the tweet from Reuben was deleted so.. there's possibility of a chance, but let's just see. Maybe this is just "Hey, do you want to audition? cuz, we're not sure if you can do it". I think also if Reuben's not the VA anymore I expect Dan will not join.

Yeah...I still can't see anyone being Dante except for Reuben, we'll definitely have to see how this will play out. I would also definitely feel weird if Dan & Johnny is in the anime, but Reuben isn't. I'd rather just have a whole new cast at that point lol.

Yeah, the dante design would be great as a DMC6 sorta ultimate final design, my first thought when seeing it in the trailer was something set between 4 and 5 because the outfit just screamed dmc5 era

Yeah, we'll definitely have to see how that will go. They got tons of freedom since it's just it's own thing (w/ Itsuno supervising it thankfully), so who knows if they will actually follow how Dante got his own DT or just do their own thing.

The Hero Within is badass! One of the rarest cases of DMC music being metalcore. Exohuman was good too, reminds me of MGR's The War Still Rages Within.

Why is everyone hoping for multiple seasons? Netflix literally has a habit of cancelling every good show around the 2nd or 3rd season.

Since the castlevania got 4 seasons, and adi shankar said the season 1 script is done last year which implies there might be multiple seasons...but you right tho, who knows how this will go and Netflix might just axed it lol.

I hate to be that guy but dont get carried by the hype yet. Untill i dont see the good stuff ill remain cautious.

Understandable. Just based on the clues we've seen it's pretty exciting aside from a few stuff imo, but yeah, who knows...they might just say fuck it and go complete 180 and ruined it 😂 Like, even if its supervised by our boi Itsuno-san, things can still go south. Look at the Dragons Dogma Netflix anime, Itsuno supervised it and it still wasn't a good show imo. So we really gotta just wait and see how this goes...

Thanks! And in the stream they showed like a still image vfx of the reboot E&I before the actual teaser trailer dropped. They did the same thing a few days back too where they try to tease what content might be on the stream and they still used the reboot E&I :/ lemme find the link

I am willing to bet that Dante gets Rebellion here the same way he did in the reboot comics. Gets summoned out of his back in time of need.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is Reuben Langdon not being Dantes VA... He even said he didn't even get a call, which is kinda shameful, and a bit disrespectful imo. Idk, I just hope the new VA can actually pull off Dante, because imo Reuben IS Dante. Replacing him is just insane to me.

In short no this show is set in the bootleg verse. Which is entirely different from the main DMC timeline in fact the show runner has confirmed he is going to have his DMC take place in the Castlevannia bootleg verse as well. Which is the Netflix Castlevannia. It also explains why Rueben Langdon and Dan Southworth . Aren’t in the show voicing Dante and Vergil.

So this new anime of DMC on Netflix is not connected to the old classic story tv series anime of devil may cry & also have you given a review on the Devil May Cry Peak of Combat its a PC & mobile game is it worth ti download & to play?

I was going to be interested trying out DMC POC, but unfortunately, they downgraded the combat and killed the depth/combo potential of that game. Maybe in the future they'll listen to feedback and change things, then I might give it a shot again.

Show me the source. Out of all the interviews I've read about Adi shankar talking about the DMC netflix anime, he has never mentioned once about DMC5 or what timeline it takes place aside from it being in the bootleg multiverse.

So if this is before DMC3 we might go back to Mallet Island? The first game is the holy grail in the franchise, they could make such an epic anime with Mundus.

I think it must be reboot again...

Like, I said in the intro, this ain't canon BUT even if it's not canon they will still based it on the existing games/novels just like what Castlevania did, but put their own spin to it. I'd say I'm interested to see how that will go. (And at the same time, I'm just eating whatever lil new dmc content bread crumbs we can scrape by)

Yeah sry bout DAT but yeah I'm basically in the same boat I wanna see how they mix it up this time since while I did like the castlevania anime some characters got changed in ways that I feel like kinda hurt the character but that was just me. Bro did not watch Castlevania Nocturne if he thinks it respects the source in any way. Nocturne shits all over the Castlevania source, so lets hope that does not happen to DMC

Hey, I'm happy to be proven wrong once we get to know more news/details about the show, but the only reason why I think the DMC anime will respect the source material because Adi's heavy involvement with Castlevania only lasted in Season 1 & 2. Adi was credited as the actual showrunner & producer on those seasons, and those two seasons did not shat on any of the story/characters imo. Season 3 - Nocturne onwards Adi dropped off because of Warren Ellis's shenanigans. Although Adi aint that innocent too, he did have some controversial stuff years ago like the Simpsons Apu thing lol, but we'll just have to see how this goes.

Just finished watching Castlevania nocturne and wondering how Lady will look in this series. Considering Isaac and Annette, I´m guessing we can expect Lady and Arkham to be black here as well. Hope their designs will be really cool.

after i watch castlevenia nocturne i start to worry this anime , because the art style does not match dmc3 dante already have a feel they might not follow 100% original , if u watch castlevenia nocturne already u will know what im mean by worry

Honestly, the story of DMC devil may cry reboot *sucked major ba*** imo. Trying to go off canon instead of a loyal adaptation of the story doesn't fill me with confidence in this series, specially for anything regarding DMC3, because that story was definitely good
