Does The CFMOTO 450 SS Really Suck?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This cfmoto 450 ss is not at all what I expected. Its a good solid bike. I couldn't find anything that would make me think it needs to be any better than it is. If your in the market for one. Give it a test ride it will surprise you.
If you live in NE Florida and want to test out a few these bikes check out. Twistedroad.com and Riders-share.com to schedule a ride.

I personally can't keep myself in my comfort zone. So, I got a slower bike to start. This is a nice bike for what it is. if you want a 600 it won't scratch that itch.

    You are very correct. Here in America most people have a problem where if they don't have the biggest baddest bike, they feel it's not good enough. Alot of them end up getting seriously hurt but its how people buy things in America. If there is something better, Faster, Lighter, More Tech. They are not happy unless they have everything. I enjoy going acceleration. I can go slow and speed up (like a race) I am happy like that. I dont need to go 130mph for 20 minutes on the highway to be happy. I can go 80 speed up once or twice and I enjoy that. Thats not true for everyone. I will say experienced riders in America know how they like to enjoy bikes. You usually see this in younger newer riders.

Every bike has an environment and scenario that is appropriate for the bike. When you call it a beginner bike, it has the effect of turning off the experienced rider who may enjoy riding in the scenario that the bike may be perfect for.

    As an experienced rider I would hope you know that a smaller displacement bike is beginner friendly and there for a beginner bike. And should take no offense if you’re looking for a slower, smaller ride to fit a specific way of riding. It’s an “ultra slow experienced rider bike” doesn’t really sound too good and approachable for the actual new riders that have yet to get to your level of experience. The terminology is geared toward the major demographic that will have have interest in the bike. It’s marketing not an only use case.

    @NostalgicMotorcycles bro I didn't buy the buy just for the features. I'm a new rider and the ninja 400 had less features than the 450ss and was more expensive than this bike. Not to mention, the 450ss has a 270 crank, which sounds better. Plus the features I'm talking about is the app. The bike comes with a tracker, vibration sensor, and checking your top speed, how many times you lean, gas, and how many miles you you put on the bike when ever your not around it. For the looks and features I wish it was a 600cc i4.

Also, I meant to say that my next bike will be either a zx6r or a gsxr 750 regardless of features because the only features I use while riding are the screen buttons to check my range and keep my bike connected to my phone for tracking reasons.

    lol different. One being a parallel twin the other an I4. The cf is going to give you more useable down low power with less overall power. The cbr will need to be revved a little more using more throttle but will provide a little more excitement at the top end. I would say the cbr is go fast the cf is feel fast. Honeslty it’s really what type of power deliver you prefer. Ergos won’t be upsetting if you’re sized for the bike either way. Ooo depends on your style. If your a first time rider this is a more friendly bike. The zx4rr is a true super sport so it’s less comfortable more aggressive power deliver and is a lot less comfortable around town. If you’re just wanting to go in shorter less aggressive rides I would get the zx4. If you want to go more miles and actually ride longer the cf450. If you don’t know your ride yet. The Cfmoto. It’s cheaper easier to sell and you can always jump 600 if you realize that’s the life you want to live.

  • @NostalgicMotorcycles

    @NostalgicMotorcycles

    3 ай бұрын

    It’s all subjective bro. The service interval is determined by the factory recommended oil. If you use different oil such as v300 you can use a different interval. Also if a fireblade has 5,000 miles interval that is also subjective to how it is being used. If you race that bike and change your oil every 5 k it will blow up as the factory oil is not track use rated. I have done a lot of research on actual oils how they are made and how they are used and I change my oil prior to the service interval in all situations. But I have no knowledge in just a guy in the internet. In the case of the blade what ever the service interval is the bike is rated to last (example) 100,000 miles if you change it at 5k but Can last longer if you change it more frequently (this information is not given by manufacturers) but change interval is based on service life of the engine, quality of the oil, and intended use of the motorcycle. Or don’t enjoy a great bike because the manufacturer says you have to spend an extra $50 bucks a year on oil Lmfaoo

    Without a doubt, I would much rather get the non-abs Ninja 451 for the same price. CFmoto lies about their weight and horsepower. Real stats are more like 46hp and 398lbs. It's like one of those Chinese flashlights for $9.99 that claims to have 6000 lumens when its really more like 2000. It may sound like a good deal, but at that price it's too good to be true. The Ninja 451 is lighter, has more torque, and has the same amount of horsepower. I dont know how many people plan on keeping and modifying one of these lightweight sports bikes, but after upgrades and ecu flash, the Ninja 451 makes about 10 more hp. The ecu flash on the 450ss doesnt do much. Call me crazy but I also prefer the bassy gurgle of Kawi's 180° parallel twin. In this class, in order from best to worst, it goes: Aprilia RS 457, Kawasaki 451 (500), CFmoto 450ss, KTM rc390, and then Yamaha R3. At $8000 to $8500 OTD price do I think the Ape 457 is a good value? No, but I still want one.
