The thing I love at the end is when Kendrick is asking Pac’s perspective on his poem about the caterpillar becoming the butterfly, Pac doesn’t reply because he never got to the other side of becoming the butterfly.

1:27:51 and then you go to Mr Morale and the Big steppers and you get the man that everyone looked at to be their savior, when all the racial issues were going on they looked to him and wanted him to say something, and he exposes himself whole heartedly, shows all his imperfections and let’s it air out for all to see, and he breaks his savior complex and says “this is me”, and in the last song of the album says “I choose me I’m sorry,”… “faith in one man while the ship is sinking,” “sorry I didn’t save the world my friend, I was too busy building mine again” So freaking beautiful I always get emotional

Appreciate the fact Casey can acknowledge the artistry whilst admitting its just not for him, but not enjoying a piece that's theoretically and practically an objective 10/10 just shows he hasn't really understood it the way he thinks he has

The whole story to this album is so insanely put together. The fact that the poem plays into every next track or current track is mind blowing. For an example, he’ll say “found myself screaming in the hotel room” and then u starts off with him literally screaming. That’s just something little because EVERY single thing you hear in this album is important, even the adlibs. You’ll hear in King Kunta “ay Kendrick back in the hood?” It’s setting the scene of where he currently is or even on u with him in a hotel room after smashing the guy’s wife and feeling disgusted with himself where you hear the cleaning lady in the middle of the song, or even on For Sale? where he runs for answers (literally) and you’ll hear him heavily breathing. This is storytelling in its pinnacle and it’s so easy to miss. I’m not even mentioning how the butterfly plays into all of this. THERE ARE SO MANY LAYERS PEOPLE.

The amazing artistry continues. In Untitled Unmastered, an album that really grows on you. The cool thing is Kendrick's music as a fan in replayable, as his emotions can make you embody songs, universally even it if African American Art, about the experience of African Americans, it has so much richness, and color in the music, it surrounds you. The concept always lands for me, and the man is really The Holds no barred most genuine vulnerable geniuses from our time. Always grappling with his faith, family, and fame. Even back to Section 80 in 2011 even to Overly Dedicated, and Kendrick Lamar EP and underated 15 song mixtape from 2009 which is his true official start. Pand P is a proto ADHD/Swimming Pools featuring Ab Soul

And I love Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Kamassi, Anna Wise has an amazing voice, and we can’t forget Robert Glasper he was part of this mix as well! This is what drew me into Kendrick and from TPAB I went down the rabbit hole and that’s why I’m convinced that he is one of the best! Every album he has is different, he never repeats himself
