Ok, I have a video request, since this is by far the most informative yt channel when it comes to the dB: I've just bought a copy of a Carcassi bass. I've always been familiar with the overall shape, but when I decided to make a research and know more about the various building schools and styles, I could find very little data on the internet. So, apart from the difference between Gamba and violin, or big/small + comfortable/desirable, it'd be great for a lot of noobs like me to dig into that topic.

Dear George, very interesting......, and in the same context would You like to make another video to the big secret of the ratio Swinging Stringlength to Carcass?! Because You can find 3/4 by 106 cm, also 4/4 by 102 cm, and much more confusing, one sounds not better than the other....; The Art of Double bass making seems still not to be a art of engeneering, still much more "try and error"....?! Is that really true?

I completely agree Heinrich! I was just about to write pretty much the same comment after watching this video, then I saw you already written. It would be super interesting with such a video! It would also be great with a discussion on what different stringlengths does on terms of string tension and what a good compromise would be between good sound vs. playability etc.
